The STL is a new online North American event held by SC2Clans.org, hosted by Binary Beast, and now sponsored by IVGrafix. The STL is looking to heat things up this summer, featuring some of the top up and coming teams on the NA sever:
- Premiere League - Master/Grandmaster level teams
Prize: 1st Place - $100 + Team Logo and Web Design by IVGrafix!
MVP Award: TBD

- Championship League - Platinum/Diamond level teams

The STL will follow a similar format to the GSTL. Within each division, teams will be placed into groups and play round-robin style. Teams will play one match per week during the regular season. Matches will be a Best of 7 All Kill format. At the season's end, the top teams will advance to a single elimination playoff bracket. Complete Format and Rules can be found HERE.

It's may be worth mentioning that there is no restriction on the number of teams that can sign up in a league, but once registration is closed and teams are placed into leagues that it will be done so in a fashion that creates an even amount of teams in a group and so that the amount of games each group plays is in the 7-10 range.
So basically this means that we will accept any number of teams but when it comes to making the schedules we will be cutting the numbers down to fit the bill (ie 24 teams or 32, or 36).
Sign ups are on a first come first serve basis and and any teams that don't make the cut will be placed on a waiting list to replace any no shows in the first week or two.
Keep the registrations coming, especially all the lower league players!

I have to say I love the initiative by this league. I got an email almost 2 weeks ago asking if we would be interested in playing in it. Looking forward to it ^^ Flow Gaming will be ready!

No one can play down a league but anyone can play up a league. So your options would be to sign up a team with only Diamonds in the Championship League, or to enter your entire team into the Premiere League.
We want the competition levels to be as close as possible.

I just want to make this clear for all registering teams. The registration for the tournament is under the "Team League" tab. There is also a "Clans" tab which allows you to register your clan simply for Clan Promotion. Do not use the Clans tab to register for the tournament. We will make this more apparent soon. :D

Updated the map pool. MLG Shakuras Plateau has been replaced with IPL Atlantis Starship.
There are a couple of reasons for this change. One, Shakuras is just old and I wanted to add more newer maps to the pool. Two, The MLG version has issues with adding spectators to the game. Three, I think Atlantis Starship will produce a lot more interesting games to watch than Shakuras would have.
If you have any constructive comments or ideas about the map pool, feel free to discuss and it will be taken into consideration.

Couple of updates:
1. Registration deadline has been moved up to April 20th to give us more time to setup groups and schedule matches.
2. The Cup League (Bronze-Gold) has been removed due to lack of sign ups. If anyone is still interested in a Bronze-Gold team league we recommend looking into the Chobo Team League, which can be found here in the tournament forums.

The leagues have rounded out nicely, with 35 in the Premiere League, and 13 in the Championship league! This is building up to be an epic season.
There will of course likely be 'no-show' teams during the first week, and they will be replaced by teams on the waiting list, so keep the sign ups coming!

Registration closes Friday! Would love to see a few more teams sign up for the Championship League.
It looks like for the Premiere League we will have 4 groups of 9 teams, with the top 4 of each group advancing to the playoffs.
For the Championship league we are looking at 2 groups of either 6, 7, or 8 teams, depending on last minute sign ups. I know a lot you Premiere teams have a B-team you could sign up. This league will likely have an 8 team playoff.

We are very much aware of the demand on the EU server for well organized amateur events. However, our main objectives right now are to establish ourselves in our home country as a successful promoter of independent teams and to provide those teams with events that are both fun to participate in as well as entertaining to watch for the SC2 community. We want to be the stepping stone for teams to move on to the next level.
Once we reach a level we are happy with we would love to expand into the EU scene. This will also heavily rely on finding the right people (European obviously) to join our team who could run these events to our expectations.

Looking forward to seeing the brackets released! We've had alittle turnover in our team roster, but we will still show up guns blazing. Tactical Gaming will be there competing.
Also i noticed when updating the team roster at SC2Ranks.com that there were only 3 other teams listed there so far.

Really positive experience so far with this league (I'm with Tactical Carnage) - an extremely well run league all around. While we couldn't quite make the comeback against xO this past week falling 4-2, we hope to put our Bye week to good use and get in some solid practice. When we come back, who knows? Maybe we'll pick things up a bit.

I don't like the fact that our opponents are attempting to try to get a win when they lost. Accusing us for sending a scout to "tryout" for your team so we know what you are doing. Area51 Gaming are in other team leagues like ESEA, Sc2Tour, etc. Do you see us sending our players to say they are leaving to join their team to only come back and tell us the scoop on their builds?
