Because that's a VERY inefficient opening.
If july uses his july sense and suspects that's what's going to happen he can just play standard and end up way ahead in the midgame.
July's only real weakness is the late game. he can handle midgame TvZ well enough especially if his opponent opens with something like a siege expand.
you make a good point wih the "july sense". because some players are magically able to predict what the opponent is doing without proper scouting right? honestly it feels to me everybody are playing like donks today at gsl.
Well he does the same thing all the time and it works against Code S opponents. I never really followed Brood War, but didn't people say July's style would stop working for years as he continued to be a top player?
He doesn't all in based off of nothing (normally), he just sees something and decides to kill. Even if it's only a 51% chance of a win, you win more than you lose so it's not bad.
nice description, it really reminded me of MC's playstyle. Those two are very similar now that I think about it.

this is not poker. you have to think you can outplay your opponent to have way higher chances. july seems just to execute these all ins very well but he still hopes to find no siege tanks on the other side, and for some very stupid reason today nobofy opened double cc siege (which is most common tvz opening...)

I think they should just be Code A as well, to be honest, but then again, results are results.
