Wow that was the most questionable opening ever by snute... hahaha.

Even though it failed miserably, this was pretty good play from Snute. If the coinflip works, he's up 3-0 and has pretty much secured the series.

No it wasn't good play. He cancelled the hatchery, but after making the roaches he still had 400+ minerals. He then proceeded to make the hatchery immediately after. There is no way it was even remotely close to optimized. He could have at least let the hatch finish, and had the same amount of units while being able to either reinforce more easily with extra larva, or play more economically with the expansion. Alternatively he could have optimized the build better to get the roaches out faster, or potentially get a few more by doing everything sooner, and making use of the extra minerals of the cancelled hatch. He also didn't do a good job of preventing the scout on his already relatively poor build.

I'm not trying to bash on the guy, he obviously did well to get into this position, but I don't think it is fair to call that a good play.

You can definitely make an argument that going all in while up 2 games is a reasonable strategy to try to execute, but if you don't execute it even close to optimally, then it isn't a good play.

The observer missed the crucial part when the probe spotted the cancelled hatch and Killer built loads of cannons.

I honestly think the finals should have been played tomorrow instead. I bet its super late in both Norway and Korea and both players are super tired, so theres a chance we might se lesser games than if both were well rested. Still awesome stuff though!

It's currently 1 PM in Korea...

Killer has been exhausted for hours, hes been up all night already. I also wish bitter would be as good of a caster when he is casting a foreigner zerg player as he is the rest of the time.
say you were born into a jungle indian tribe where food was scarce...would you run around from teepee to teepee stealing meat scraps after a day lazying around doing nothing except warming urself by a fire that you didn't even make yourself? -rekrul

This would be the biggest surprise win of a tournament since Thorzain... and it is looking likely. Go Snute!

Oh c'mon... Everyone wants Snute to win this. He was voted in by the community for Pete's sake.

So what is happening? Liquipedia says 2-1 in Snute's favor, but his flag is USA, and the stream says that next up is Sheth versus TBD.
The devil is compromise.
