Same here it looks like they run around in circles and doing something ^^ Also, the particle effects are way to much. Red line, green orb, orange explosion all at the same time. The fuck is going on!? Lol. It's the most clear game out of DotA, LoL and HoN o.O You'll get used to it I guess

Of course it is sad to see SC2/RTS being kicked off the main stage after only one year. But it is good that it is not because SC2 is declining rapidly but because other titles attract numbers rarely seen before. As long as SC2 has a dedicated community that has fun playing and watching it, SC2 is there to stay.
Well said!
SC2 is doing well, Lol is just doing even better but that is not a negative thing for the Starcraft community.

Really? Haha. I have never played or watched LoL, very confusing for me. Guess I am just watching for the caster voices, you know, so I don't feel alone. :'(

Why is the Starcraft2 final scheduled so early in the day? Makes no sense for Europeans, makes very little sense in a global perspective.

220k for lol atm, how many were for sc2? clearly 30 barcrafts make it close!

To make timeslot open for LoL finals which gets bigger numbers.

I don't really know what is going on, but LoL is kind of interesting. I can see why people watch it.

Nobody has said "close" except you? I think the wording was "closer".
I don't really get these kinds of responses, they are way too short to not feel disrepectful. Especially when it is a response to a post where the LoL-numbers were actually praised.
Seriously, can't we be a little more friendly?

What? I have watched bits of LoL and DotA 2, and DotA looked far more clear to a non-regular.
Unless you are referring to DotA 1, in which case I haven't seen it so can't comment ^.^

i'm watching too right know and i think the casters chould do a better job to make it more accessible to people who don't have a clue whats going on. i don't know if its possible or maybe i'm asking for too much, but i don't think you're as clueless as i'm right know when you watch sc2 for the first time. i don't know, it different games, but i don't think the caster are considering new people who may be watching right know, which is actually quite a possibility because its the iem wc finals.

Then why not put it after the LoL-finals? I mean, suppose the LoL-finals take three hours (I have no idea just guessing).
Then the SC2-finals would be perfect for Europeans, as horrible for PST as it was originally for Europeans, pretty good for EST (middle of the day), very late for Koreans (how much do they watch it anyway?).
I would really like to have a discussion about that, there are probably more angles to it than these.

Look at the number of stream viewers watching this LoL final and compare it to the number watching SC2. Also consider the fact Riot chucked some money their way for the finals stage. It's not a hard question to answer.
PS: ceBIT closes at like 5PM GMT / 6PM CET (Two hours time)

Do you think anyone watching SC2 for the first time has a clue what's really going on?

Gratz to MC, he finally smashed Puma on a final (he deserved it imo) !
And to everyone who said that "Protoss OP omfg lololol", actually they all say it after a Protoss win a tournament, no matters if the winner's the only protoss in the top 10... I prefer to see someone who has an awesome micro, monster macro, and a ton of little tricks (and always used them during his entire carrier) win a tournament, that someone who has absolutely abused a free-win (and incredibly imbalanced during many times, maybe not anymore but still hard to counter) strat to grab easy wins and even steal a final (this one is my personal opinion though).
MC completely deserved to win this one, GG to him

The tournament was amazing and very nice to watch, congratulations.
Congratulations for all players.
And the replay packs made me your eternal fan.

LoL doesn't need to bring people in who doesn't play. The only people who are watching LoL are the people who are also playing it. That really shows how huge the player base for LoL is.
If Blizzard put a link to the stream in the client we would maybe see 5k more viewers, because a large part of the viewer base for SC2 doesn't really play the game. And all the people who play probably already know of the professional scene. This is also why people call LoL a casual game.

If you read my post it was not "let's switch timeslots between LoL and SC2". I was seeking to discuss other permutations and possibilities, such as having the SC2-final after, having LoL on a Saturday and SC2 on Friday or vice versa.
Maybe ESL should consider not having SC2 at all if it can't be fitted into their schedule in a good way.
It is maybe not a hard question to answer but I felt you still didn't.

Riot does everything for LoL and have absolute control over every aspect of the ESPORT. For the pros it does nothing and for a casual crowd it might be interesting and might generate some revenue.
Why not implement a premium system which enables you to...
...join league-specific tournaments with special rewards. ...share personal statistics on Twitter/Facebook. ...ingame event streams ...custom tournaments ...custom portraits ...name changes ...statistics reset ...premium profiles ...unit/building models ...replay archive/sharing ...global toplists
Beside that
...an unranked league system ...cross-server connection ...multiple accounts ...suggestions in the "UI still sub-par 2 years later. Why don't we care?"thread
So many things they could do which are easy to implement.
