Grubby and ToD were the only europeans consistently competing with the Korean and Chinese players Insomnia changed the metagame so dramatically...and was a fucking great SK gaming Terran - along many others(He-man/Survivor <3 good old times), Satinii was at one point at the top(AT least in EU), I think when mouz picked him up, not putting him up there is BS tbh... Caravaggio was more of the early stages of wc3 and left the scene - so you may have a point there. Point is - there were a shitton of good/excellent EU players - did not even name Zeus - Fury - Demu etc etc....

People are far too quick to put players on pedestals and far too quick to tear them down from the platform they have been raised up on. Strange, I don't see anyone calling him one of the best protoss players in the world, or even the best foreign protoss etc, lol. I think people are just enjoying his run through this tournament, and he does seem to be one of the foriengers on the rise lately.

Feast has been consistently beating players considered above him with a unique, aggressive style for a while now.

Its not as easy as you make it sound like when you have to move stalkers back all the time and can only have a few hit the immortal at the same time, each time you move the stalkers a bit you have to target fire it again and at the same time blinking all other stalkers. You cant just move forward with all your stalkers and target it down since it will cost alot dmg to you. Many other top korean pro players also have a hard time doing it sometimes when armies are so even.

Yeah.. its classic move by casters to hype their players along with the matches as much as possible they know very well who are the top players and they know what they said isnt entirely true. they both are among the top players in the world (maybe top15 tvp, inside this range) but its better if they say it this way point being, just sit back and enjoy the show and dont think about it too much when they talk about players skill-level

Well these are the only tournaments Feast has played in so far you know? And SC2 is still part time for him, he's still in high school. So all hype is justified. Look what happened with Stephano when he went SC2 full time.

Yes, but that is true for everything in life, not just sc2 players.
