Very nice PvZ played out between Slavik and Titan. Was really back and forth, and a great comeback from Titan.
Enjoying McDuffs more than I should. My premier guilty StarCraft pleasure. xxx

Am I the only one that thinks Titan was never behind?

Is 'Slavik' really pronounced like that? I've always said it with a long 'a'.

Perhaps, but only in the sense that he was two or three times just barely survive an encounter and extract himself from a position where he would outright lose I think. If he had not been able to escape with a third of his forces or so when he lost those fights, Slavik would have just rolled him with almost double the supply.
As it was I think he was not punished hard enough for moving out with two thirds of his army at a pretty large supply deficit; he was able to have secure expansions almost all the way, which is a always good, but I would say he was significantly behind several times, and definitely so when he was on double Colossus production just as Greater Spire finished and he had no real imminent response to Brood Lords.

I disagree with this, he started by killing Happyz's third, from that point he already put himself in a good position, after "losing" those fights he was never behind more then 70 supply after that, yes he was making double colossi while zerg got to broodlords but don't forget that he killed many of zerg's bases, essentially gas capping him. Zerg never had more then 4 infestors, and by that time not enough roaches to support the brood lords. I don't think Titan was ever in any real danger

You could be right. I think that Slavik was way too passive when he had transitioned without a real answer from Titan though. Could be wrong of course, but the allowing Titan to sit on three bases going into four when he was winning fights in the middle of the map while also having superior tech was not the right choice.
|
Snute won first game against Imbadude, if he wins this set 2 - 0 he has advanced before the last game!
|
Was slaviks loss... After winning the first engagements he became too passive with his forces instead of denying titans 4th and keeping titan on his toes. Slaviks control on titan's army was also pretty bad, as he had no idea where it was. He should also have stopped building roaches and gone for more spines and infestor/brood lord.
Even losing that third expo early on was a pretty big mistake which should never have happened...

Awesome to have player who skips scouting part of the game and still play on highest pro level while everyone/everywhere talks about how important scouting is. :-)

I wouldn't say never, but he is kind of famous for his lacking of scouting, most often he doesn't
