They literally played a month and a half ago in the Blizzard Cup. Evenly matched. To be fair though, polt won when it didn't matter, mma won when it did.
You must be extremely rich to think winning around 100k from the super tournament isn't something that matters.

I think Jinro is rising up again, he was really really close to qualify for code A last preliminaries if I remember it correctly, and last weeks 3rd place in the EWM, after beating players like Sound and Jjun is impressive imo

Is Sen the only one guaranteed to be in GSL 2012 Season 2 due to surviving round 1 of Code A? On top of that, there will be 2 Code S seeds given out based on foreigner tournament results? I honestly feel foreigners don't deserve any Code S seed at the moment. If they win one of the big tournaments coming up they will. The Sen and Idra invites had to be given around a time when there wasn't much in terms of tournaments. In the initial announcement of the seeds it always looked like the plan was to give it to players with recent tournament success There were quite some tournaments in the last quarter of 2011 actually, if they went purely by results Hero or Puma would've gotten a Code S spot over Sen, because they had much better results(atleast one first and one second place finish at Dreamhack and NASL2).
IEM Kiev, IEM Sao Paulo, WCG and HSC4 were also in the last 2 months and could be considered.
€ @ Agnosthar I think he means that Polt's win in the group stages didn't matter but MMA's win in the tiebreaker did, which is wrong. Both games mattered the same amount, without the win in the group stages the tiebreaker would'nt have ocuured.

That said, I do hope that he manages to qualify again.

Yeah it's been far too long since he's been around in GSL proper. Hopefully he will come through next time, although luck of the draw plays such a big part in Code B. Would be nice to see his chin of pure manliness again. :D

all foreigners smashed again/ There's some kind of foreigner curse on the GSL which causes them to underperform. I know Morrow is better than this, probably nerve issues... I still believe in Naniwa and Sase though, I hope they invite them next season.

Macsed losing was easy to predict after he got romped by Select, but Xigua had a tough opponent in Killer, whose PvZ is strong as + Show Spoiler [MLG Korean Qualifiers] +

They've already gotten invites, and also got smashed. Back when IdrA/HuK/Jinro were Code S I don't think the competition was quite as hard as it is now also.

The curse is called lesser skill.....lol.
Anyways, sad to see Polt drop to Code B. Just wondering if his health had anything to do with it....(he was sick, right?)

If a foreigner wants to play in the GSL again he must earn his spot in the qualifiers. No more undeserved seeds please.

Stream 2 VODs still not up? O_o

Glad Creator beat Polt <3 Prime > you

All the foreigners have died. What a colossal joke we are. If only Thorzain qualified...
Really bummed about Polt but damn, Creator's pretty good. I'm not too worried about Polt though, he'll probably get reseeded with Assembly Winter. Also super sad about asd.

Polt played fine, really. The games were pretty much decided by the builds.
Game One - POLT FAST EXPAND. CREATOR GATE FIRST STALKER PRESSURE. Polt can't get bunker up, Stalkers walk in, stop the quick expand, and then Creator double expands behind it. Game over.
Game Two - Polt expands behind three rax. CREATOR GOES FOR IMMORTAL BUST! Bust fails, Polt holds and counter attacks with better teach. Game over.
Game Three - Polt, seeing that Creator went for two quick pushes, TURTLES HARD! Gets on two base and bunkers up. Sadly, Creator goes for a quick third and has no army for a few minutes. If Polt attacks during this window, it's gg and Polt wins. But Creator had scared Polt into thinking a pressure or some sort of timing would hit, so Polt wanted to play a long macro game. Creator's third gets up, he goes up to five/six gates and goes in for a death timing that Polt can't handle.
None of the games really showed off the skill of the player. Game one did get into the mid game, but Creator was already so far in the lead due to the double expanding and stopping Polt's mining at his natural, it was just an a-move with higher tech against Polt's bio.

I mean they play a LOT better on the KR ladder/ other events. Recent example Morrow beating Puma and Leenock. I really think there's a lot of pressure playing live in the GSL, which causes foreigners not to play their best. Even Huk and Jinro were very nervous in their best Code S runs.
