Could be another Liquid 3-0
|
I don't think I've ever seen a 4 zerg cw lineup before... wow lol; edit: tlpdfail;

Slivko vs Jinro and Sheth vs Titan are probably the most exciting games on the card; Liquid` should win the other 2 convincingly (i think).. then again, i have been pretty terrible at guessing these results
Kennigit is so sure this is Liquid`s year so i can't really argue with that :p
|

Titan is protoss, they bungled the TLPDizing.
|
|
can't remember the last time i have seen jinro win anything i'd say it's atlease 3-1 liquid. and i think it'll go to the ace match.
|
Jinro!!!!! Awesome to see you in the lineup, man. Gotta suck being the only Liquid' Terran atm :C
Don't worry, i'm sure the double acquisition of Nada+Dove by Liquid' will help you <3 (lol, if that happened...)
Looks like a Liquid' 3-0 to me. Hero/Ret should get pretty easy wins, and Jinro's gotta be pumped for his first team league appearance in a while. TL fighting!
|
Hard to see Liquid lose this.
|
ROX got shitty matchups indeed. They can still do it though, they do have a great lineup...LZ and sLivko can win their games, and a big maybe for Titan
|
Slivko and Titan can pull through, I think. IDK anything about LZ so maybe him too. Still, go Liquid!
|
After seeing sLivko yesterday against Ret he seems to be improving rapidly, might be intresting match for Jinro. Titan vs Sheth seems intresting aswell, though Sheth is very good at ZvP so i would give him the edge. (if he needs to play) Ret should win his match prity handly, same for HerO, then again in Starcraft we never know for sure
Either a quick 3-0 for Liquid, or this will go to the Ace match and Liquid wins that.
|
oh yeah Jinro is in! Gogo Liquid!
|
I feel bad for Rox, I think they're much better than their 0-3 seems to show, although its hard to root against Liquid :x I'll just hope for an epic match =)
|
Liquid will take this I think. BUt what is up with Ret only playing ZvZ. Soon he will become a ZvZ god...
|
Either gonna be a 3-1 or 3-0 I think. What I saw from Jinro in the EWM looked really solid, but slivko is probably the best player on RoxKis atm. Ret should win his ZvZ, especially cause Abver is not that good in it and HerO should have a clear advantage over LZ. And Sheth has shown really good ZvP that can push HerO to the edge of defeat (but still only the edge, cause you know it's HerO) , while Titans PvZ is really his weakpoint.
|
Goes to ace match with slivko and Titan winning for roxkis.
|

Jinro is in the quarterfinals of the EWM...
|
I think Jinro might lose his match, TvZ isn't really his best matchup, as he's said himself.
Otherwise, I predict Liquid winning. Ret's ZvZ looked beastly at IEM, and Sheth has always been a great ZvP player.
And HerO just always wins, so...
|
Hmm, we got a good safety net here with the BO3 ace, but I still trust Jinro to win nonetheless, especially on Antiga.
|
HerO against a foreign Zerg and Sheth vs a Toss on frikkin' Bel'Shit Beach is basically 2 wins for Liquid.
This will probably be a 3-1 to Liquid.
|
Jinro's first appearance in team leagues this season, iirc.
|
Sweet I was looking for more action after dinner, GLHF to both but GOOooooo Liquid!
|
Abver < Ret Livezerg < Hero sLivko > Jinro Titan > Sheth
And Titan, if hes playing his best, could close off the ace match against Ret 2-1.
|
That was just silly greedy by ret.. 15 hatch 16 pool in zvz? -_-!

You are vastly overrating Titan's PvZ.
|
Why is sLivko listed as a Korean? I don't think that Jinro has a good shot against him, his TvZ isn't that great and sLivko has shown impressive ZvT, but Antiga is pretty good for Terran, I think. Who knows, Jinro might be able to take it, but he's certainly not favored in that match-up.
|
|
Pretty terrible play by hero
|
Bah PvZ is a strange matchup atm. Protoss always fast expands but Zergs have started to punish it
EDIT: Quick 0-2 to RoX.KiS... what is GOING ON?!
|
Wow, not the results people were expecting.
|
i had already predicted rox.kis to win, their overall line up is too strong for liquid if their players play up to par.
|
Alright I was hoping for a TL win but not a complete walkover. Now Im hoping TL gets a win?!

Both players getting so incredibly greedy... hope Jinro likes his lategame TvZ...

I always thought eastern europe is underrated (Empire, RoxKis), but I did expect Liquid to win this one. Now Liquid fans should be scared after seeing todays games of Slivko vs Supernova.

can someone summarize how hero lost??

LOL! Censored! Good showing from RoX, I knew these players were good, so not that big of a surprise.

Sheth using LZ's account or something?

Sheth needs something anti colossus or he's gonna lose :/ Does he even have a spire?

If Rox sent the replays then presumably they did win, just the wrong rep or something got submitted and NASL didn't doublecheck why "Sheth" wasn't Sheth.

Could be Sheth playing on his account. Maybe they agreed to play (partly) on EU. Was wondering as well.
|
If the game mix-up is true, well, then this might be the finest NASL fail since the live event and the 30 minute promos that repeated and ran ten times throughout the day.

|
Oh NASL you never cease to amaze.
|
Wait so did Titan or sheth win?
|
Need to speak to the RoX manager because the replay file that he sent me is titled "Titan vs Sheth" ... so I think it's more likely that Sheth played on LiveZerg's account, and it was played on EU. I am waiting for RoX's manager to log on.
|
Once again, its not NASL's fault. It's Roxkis for sending the wrong replay which if true, they should be penalized (like it matters )

Having organized tournaments cast from replays, I've seen things like this happen once or twice, and it's not impossible that the replay files just got mixed up.

I don't think anyone here should be throwing around the word "fault". There was possibly a mixup of some kind, all we can do it wait for the appropriate people to investigate and clear it up, as I'm sure they will.

I'm not really putting "fault" on anybody. Just the fact that these things seem to happen to NASL on an ongoing basis is something worthy of mention. Put the "fault" on whoever you like sir.

As you can see... the replay they sent me was titled 'Titan vs Sheth,' so there was clearly a misunderstanding here. I will hopefully get the *correct* replay in the morning when RoX wakes up?

It's all about perception unfortunately. NASL has had its share of messups, especially compared to their competition, that the brand has become damaged, and whenever something bad happens, the reputation acts as a magnet and draws the critiques. Is it fair? No, but that is how society works.
NASL could really use an Apple turnaround moment right now.

Thats correct. Without the actual Sheth vs Titan game, Liquid wouldn't have lost or won until we know the result. If Sheth actually won his game then it would indeed go to an Ace match. If not, then ROX won.

Just curious why you're relying on the players/teams to send you replays? I'd imagine that you'd want to have an admin in the game to observe and ensure that the map is correct and such? Am I wrong in this thought?

You can really tell Xeris and the crew are putting in a lot of effort to correct past problems with NASL, and I think that's very admirable.
The community, TeamLiquid staff included, clearly has something against NASL and it's really not helping them rebuild their image.

Because in order to make the league possible, we have a flexible scheduling system and teams play when it's convenient for them, which means that oftentimes games are played at different times on different days and on different servers (ya it would be easy if we enforced everyone playing only on NA server and at set times, but this is bad for teams). There's no physical way to have an admin present at all the games, because sometimes matches are played when I'm asleep, etc (I'm not a superhuman robot who can be awake 24 hours a day to watch over everything T_T).
In 3 seasons (GCPL 1, GCPL 2, now NASTL) I've literally never encountered this kind of a problem, or actually had any problems whatsoever. Teams have always been very good and prompt about doing things, and doing things right.
I think RoX just made a little mistake in renaming the replays, is all. And since we have server switching to promote fair play as much as possible, what we thought was that LiveZerg had lent his account to Sheth and they played on the EU server.

No, I think people in this thread were "straight up shitting" on the NASL, before they realized that it wasn't really their fault, and even afterwards.

Hey! We found out today (unfortunately, too late) from LiveZerg that we actually had received an incorrect replay: Titan vs Sheth. The RoX manager accidentally sent the incorrect replay, and it was our fault for not double checking this! We will make sure to get the correct replay as soon as possible, and cast the rest of the match for you all! Thanks for understanding, and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
Sorry for this folks, we'll fix it up asaply

Usually the winning team sends the replays so it is very likely Liquid still lost.

I'm glad this is being fixed but I still stand by my comment. With this much competition in terms of streams and leagues you can't afford to be making silly mistakes like this. Did no one test the replay prior to the cast? What if it was corrupt for example, the show would just be over? Did no one who opened it notice that it said Titan vs LiveZerg and was on the wrong map?
Coupled with the horrible re-scheduling incident last week that forced multiple barcrafts to cancel events and caused one of their most anticipated matches to clash with the Superbowl, I don't have much faith in NASL any more. Just when I think things can't go much further wrong, they do.
Note that this is my personal opinion and is not an official TL position.

+ Show Spoiler +Wow, I was going to brush it off as a simple mistake, mostly on Rox's part, but how could NASL not know there was an ace match played or not even know what the official score was. That is really quite bad. Broadcasting the wrong game, reporting the wrong score, and not broadcasting the full match or even knowing that they're not broadcasting the full match...wtf.

I'm assuming the games are casted without caster knowledge of the result (so as to not really spoil the result) and I don't think they have any idea either.

I could understand a mistake happening (like thinking Sheth played on LiveZerg's EU account because of mislabeled replay) if the results happened to coincide, but the results did not coincide so I really don't understand how this mistake could happen.

I'm not sure why both teams wouldn't send in all of the replays just to verify the results from both parties in the first place. If there are no admin present in some of the games, I feel like this would be a good way to know for 100% that those are the correct games that were played.

Well... I feel less bad now that I missed the first broadcast and won't be able to catch the rebroadcast either... >_<
NASL must be seriously understaffed if they can't get an admin to be in every game....

Also, what do you think Liquid would've said when they saw the results? Obviously someone made a mistake and then NASL, due to some degree of incompetence, both aired and casted the wrong game, featuring the wrong players on the wrong map.

don't know what to make of this all i am going to go to sleep and hope that it's all revealed in the morninng. I can understand the mistake on nasl's part. it's harder to understand how rok kis could of made it particulary since there was apparently an ace match played. and frankly if rok kis some how didn't win then i find this very fishy and don;t know how i'd be able to trust that rok kis made an honest mistake.
lets just hope for every ones sake that nothing dirty happened and this was all a miscommunication between the players and the team management or who ever sent in those replays.

haha, for a moment I also thought this sounds very controversial. Clearly the manager sending in the replays must have known about the ace match and the actual result of the game. But there is honestly no way this was done on purpose, noone in their right mind would think this would go unnoticed. Especially when it's one of your own players noticing it

Lol, that's a ridicilous claim. No team would ever do that in a big league, as there is no way in hell the other team wouldn't simply report it and they'll be ridiciloud and probably have to disband.

I just think its funny noone thought about checking the replay before it was casted Not the player sending it to manager Not the manager forwarding it to NASL Not the NASL forwarding it to the caster

I bought last season pass for NASL but I was pretty disappointed when compared to other leagues and have put my money into GSL this year and have been pleased with the entertainment though the VOD quality is poor compared to other streams the entertainment of the games/casting make it worthwhile.
I still watch the odd NASL VOD/stream as its free with good HD quality but the commentary is a little lacklustre and by and large so are the games. I want Gretorp and co to succeed as they clearly try so hard but with MLG/IPL and GSL all putting out so much wonderful content (Nestea v DRG in GSL this week and Nestea v Protoss in MLG Korea Qualifier were all insane matches plus IPL team league!) there isnt time in my day for NASL too

I'm not sure why both teams wouldn't send in all of the replays just to verify the results from both parties in the first place. If there are no admin present in some of the games, I feel like this would be a good way to know for 100% that those are the correct games that were played. Just to be clear. I did send in all the replays and I did also send in the right replays. They just chose not to use it/look at it and use the ones from RoXKiS, I assume.
|
So who won the ace match then? Disappointed Liquid did not win this early.
And NAS(T)L really need to doublecheck replays in advance.

Isn't it a policy to send replays for all matches, even when 3-0, so not to spoil it for the casters?
And they should at least compare file size between both team's replays, so you know they are the same.

Should probably change the "results" in the OP.
Also just tell us the result of the ace match in a spoiler, this is just painful.

Well, I wake up to see Sheth has dropped knowledge bombs overnight. I guess I have some waiting to do still....

So ...
I guess this isn't going to be fixed for the upcoming EU broadcast? I'd really like to know how the clanwar turned out

For the EU Rebroadcast today we're only going to be showing the first 3 games due to not being able to have time to cast the rest of the match. We will broadcast the rest of the match at a later announced date. Sorry for any inconvenience.

If the RoX.KiS manager sent the replays that means they won right? Winning team usually sends the replays if I'm not mistaken...

Spoiler the results please. It's completely unfair to withhold the results of an event that's already completed just because of broadcasting issues, let alone withhold it indefinitely until a "later announced date".

Bumblebee clearly said that he also sent in replays(The correct ones).

"A later announced date?"
Doesn't sound like you guys are trying all that hard to amend this error. One would think a professional company would do everything within its power to quickly appease the situation and move forward, not let it linger around until an undisclosed time.

What do you wish they do? Snap a finger and the replay appear? They have to work with a global organization that doesn't run on the same hours that they do, things might take a little bit.

Sure, but a little more information beyond such a vague non-committal statement might be a little more helpful. What is a later announced date? Tomorrow? Next week? What was the REAL result of the match?

The big problem with it is that we're doing the NASL Qualifier today, so we can't. We unfortunately don't have enough staff, studio space, etc to cast live 2 things at once. We'll figure out what works and announce when we'll cast the rest of the games as soon as possible.
I don't want to post spoilers of the match because it might spoil the results for people inadvertently.

Should spoiler results anyway and make it clear that they are the complete results of the match that has not been broadcasted with a nice big red font. If people are still inadvertently spoiled, it's their own fault.

No, Liquid did not send in the replays. Not sure why Bumblebee said that.

I feel like a lot of people here don't know how to run a business, or think that NASL has infinite resources when they do not. Roxkis sent the wrong replay, and since there isn't a precadence for errors of this kind in the history of SC2 (at least that I know of) there is no reason for Xeris to check. Obviously, it's now clear that there is a reason to check the authenticity of the replay and doublecheck the results from both sides. If this were to happen again then I would be angry at the NASTL, but right now it's stupid to be angry at them when an identical error could have occured in the IPL/KSL.

Haha, when the casters can actually SEE the names of the players, they should have known right away....
Really no excuse for this...could have been caught through the whole recording/broadcasting phase...

Wow, this is a very silly situation. Why isn't there any sort of quality assurance that goes into checking these replays? There are so many ways this could have been prevented. Maybe next time you can do the following steps?
1) Make sure both managers sent in the replays. 2) Compare the number of replays from both managers. 3) Check to make sure the replays aren't corrupted. 4) While making sure the replays work check that the players are the right players (if someone is playing on a different account then they should mention this when they sent the replays) and they're on the right map.
I'm sure there are other quality assurance things you can do. This takes like 15 mins. You don't even have to watch the entire replay.

It is, actually, a series of small mistakes by a lot of people that pilled up.
