Given the volatilty of SC2, I do not like the fact that one can drop from Code S to Code B so easily...

I agree that this is better than expected. Zergs are making a comeback into GSL!

Besides Hyun who had a incredibly hard opponent I think and Seal the other Zergs were quite subpar. I think a better Zerg would have crushed JYP.

Life is a solid zerg, but ZvP is his worst matchup. This seems to be a trend with most top zergs in Korea now.

Yea man. We should always be optimistic about stuff. 1 out of 7 zergs advanced? Hey, at least it's not 0.

Perhaps, but it's certainly better than the old system, where a player could get win 1 game, just 1, and be assured Code S for the next season.

To be fair, how many zergs aren't subpar atm? Nestea, DRG, Leenock, Curious?? Then I guess you have Zenio, Lucky, July?

Oh, I thought you meant "Are there even any zergs that are on par? You know, like being ironic.

The good thing about that is there were 7 Zergs to begin with. A lot of them in Code A.

I dont think Life is as good as JYP though. His win on crossfire came down to a very risky strategy that didnt get scouted and a not so good followup to his opening from JYP (in that situation, perhaps its better across most games, idk).

On dual sight I feel the only reason Life came close was thanks to the map's design. It really is very bad for protoss. In a Steppes of war ZvT kind of bad where you need to do something off 2 base and get lucky or lose.

Guessed 6/8 correct. Shame about (T)Bomber, he really isn't only a Code B player. Oh well. And (P)JYP beat (Z)Life after all.

Wow, you're pretty good at being optimistic too. Let me try to outdo you. Good thing these players are still alive and healthy. So, they can always compete again and maybe come back to the GSL in future.

Both players now just playing very standard
Sculp with BFH

YuGiOh getting up to 4 bases now

Sculp getting quite a nice number of vikings, shooting down overlords/overseers
