We had to wait until the university confirmed that we could use the facilities on the new date to announce the change. Hope to see you guys there. OMFG PICK BETTER DATES. So many of our tournaments end up on the same day as other ones lol. Unfortunately I'd pick the Chino lan over this, but I would of definately liked to go.

Yeah, we're aware of the conflict, and it is really unfortunate. This was the day we were able to get the facilities from the university though, and we have had it planned since before the Chino LAN was announced, so we're kind of stuck.
Regardless, LA is a lot closer for some people, and there are people who have been coming to the USC LANs since first semester of last year. I don't think we'll have a problem filling the tournament.

Yeah but I definately would of gone to both, and this makes both tournaments detract from each other. Really unfortunate, guess it can't be helped.

gl with the tour guys but all my guys from my team and i decided to go to the dolby one , hopefully urs turns on kewl too and do more in the future making sure it doesnt mix with other tours schedules. gl hf infLaGTT Fighting!

To add to rauk's list: so far UCLA, UCI, UCSD, HMC, Team aiR, and hopefully your own infLaGTT are expected to make an appearance. Plus myself and a few others from our club.
Number of email confirmations so far is low, but I don't think we're going to experience a shortage of players.

was wondering if you guys plan on making this double elim, say top two advance to winners bracket, and 3rd and 4th go to losers, and then 5th and 6th are eliminated during group stage.

never heard of a tournament that sends 3rd/4th in groups to a losers bracket. Group stage is already kind of a loser's system because you really have to lose two games to get knocked out in the group stage. If you go 2-1 you'll most likely move on.

wintersgamefest used a similar system, and as a player i kinda liked it. it didn't really alter the brackets much and it let people who lost in the group stages play some more games
