MVP has a free ticket to ro8 with his group which is the easiest by far.
MMA's group is hard to call but I hope Supernova and anyone of the others make it through
MC also has a decent group. I see him making the group with Parting
Nestea's group is the group of death. 3 of my favorite players are in there - damn you Nestea giving MVP a free ticket like he hasn't won enough already

MKP will have to play well to just win a single map in that group. any group without TvT is good for MKP. Nestea's ZvT is nothing special. MKP beat DRG easily in AoL finals (the recent King of Kong semi's dont count, it was cross server). Hardest player will be Genius who is on fire recently, but still manageable.
Well, Mc and MKP are good friends so I guess at least MKP has a sick practice partner.

All I know is that there is going to be a lot of TvPs played at the Slayers House for the next 2 weeks...

MVP's got this I think. Those 3 players don't have the X-factor to beat him. If you play bot-type vs MVP, you are going to wrecked. If you play using gimmicky builds, sometimes they will fail utterly against him as well. If you mix things up while being a badass (i.e. MMA), then you will have a chance. I don't see Curious, Alive or Gumiho beating MVP consistently.
This season is looking good to MVP atm. MMA may drop. DRG may drop. If that happens, only 3ppl may take mvp out this season comes in mind. They are Mc, Nestea and Oz.

I know John is loved here and all but the translation seemed subpar to me. Like a lot of the jokes were missed out ): People would be laughing and John would say something very blunt and normal

Group D is almost impossible to predict. Genius has got the form, MKP the matchups, Nestea has huge expectations, and DRG is the best zerg in the world right now. It could go any direction.

MC and Parting in same group t.t

Well, Group D is pretty good. MKP has a decent shot there, I am very scared for DRG, I think he should just practice or try something crazy vs NesTea. If he can best NesTea he has a very good chance otherwise it becomes precarious. I don't think Genius will beat DRG or NesTea but he is riding on confidence from the last group so it's difficult to predict.

Group D is super stacked, any 2 could make it out

everyones afraid of parting and genius ;p

Group D is indeed the group of death, lol. GL MC anyway!

The new GSL group nominations seem to be working quite well so far. I'd say Groups A and C are rather easy to call, if GuMiho, Curious, Ganzi or Parting make it out over MVP, aLive, MC or Jjakji I'd be surprised... (assuming Jjakji avoids a TvT against Ganzi) On the other hand I think Groups B and D are stacked I wouldn't be surprised if Ganzi made it to Ro8. I don't see him going any further though. To get to Ro8 he would have to beat 2 of MC, Jjakji and Parting. MC is MC. Jjakji is a beast. Parting's best matchup is PvT, by far. Ganzi would have to pull a miracle to make it to Ro8. Ganzi demolished Jjakji in the ro32 and would do it again. Ganzi is a TvT monster. I dont think Ganzi will beat MC, but I really dont know wnough about Parting to have a clue there. So for me, if Ganzi beats Parting then he makes it out.
To be fair, skillwise Ganzi should lose the two toss players in this group, but keep one thing in mind. SlayerS terrans will have to face toss and SlayerToss will have to face terran. Mc skill wise should be able to all kill slayerS terrans but in histroy somehow he lost a lot to Slayers Terrans. In TvP, there is a lot of mind game things you can do and SlayerS players are sick good at this. MMA is a good example. With the help from Sage, Jjakji is dangerous too. I hope Mc can prepare well without being part of oGs.
