COME ON GUYS! HYPE IT UP!!! 2 much money on MMA. If he loses that would be my last bet this month on Pinnacle.. Oh well, MMA cant lose this right? -.- I would say he has a really good chance to advance. 2 zergs which he owns at in matchup and Gumiho may be an up and comer but TvT is his worst MU while MMA is top tier in that match up as well. I would definitely bet on mma as well

This season of Code S is just THAT much more spectacular Not to be the buzzkill, but it's because there isn't any major tournaments going on right now -> so more people will be inclined to watched GSLbecause the only real tournament right now is the GSL whereas during the Oct. Finals there was an oversaturation of tournaments. Though, that many viewers is still a really good thing, especially for a Ro32 game.
Edit: Upon further research I found that the Nov. games averaged 60-70K during the round of 32 and peaked during the finals at 198K. The Oct. games averaged only an estimated 50K viewers and the Anaheim finals peaked the season at 110K. Right now the January Season is averaging 230K viewers, which is a little bit of an improvement It probable does have something to do with a less competing tournament which may not share the same time slot as the GSL (MLG's never even play on the same days) but having too many tournaments will oversaturate the market. That being said, this a pretty high increase in viewership.

I don't think people see GSL as a replacement for other Starcraft. GSL is the tournament everyone watches.

BTW, this thread brings up a good point.
Can we get our future GSL livereport threads titled HOT6iX GSL to honor HOT6iX's sponsorship of this GSL? They are the title sponsor of this GSL, so we should honor their support of eSports by immortalizing their name oen this GSL.

LR threads are not named by sponsors until the grand finals anyways so it doesn't matter.

I agree. It would be a nice touch on our part.

LR threads are not named by sponsors until the grand finals anyways so it doesn't matter. That's exactly the problem. We don't refer to the title sponsors of each GSL as much as we should be doing. HOT6iX sponsors this entire GSL and not just the finals, so we should immortalize it by calling it the HOT6iX GSL all the time.
BW fans, TeamLiquid BW articles, and even BW's Liquipedia always call BW tournaments [SPONSOR] [TOURNAMENT} and I am just suggestion we follow suit.

Still, it would be nice to show the sponsor some support even if it's just a thread title.
