What? No they don't have to give stephano anything if they choose to. It's their tournament and stephano signed to PLAY not to forfeit. If they don't have a finale cause stephano is too tired wah wah wah, then they lose viewers and look bad. Therefore if anything stephano actions harm ONOG reputation if they don't have a finals and give 2nd to stephano. If he didn't want to be up for the finals he shouldn't of even began to play the tournament

It's horrible for any tournament if a player stops playing in the later rounds and it's the responsibility of the player to get his sleep schedule right, if he agrees to play in such a tournament. I think placing him at 4th is really good for Stephano. I wouldn't give him any money if I was the tournament organizer and I'm a Stephano fan.
And I'm saying this as somebody who isn't a Stephano fan at all. Stephano provided you with all with good games till the final. He earned the spot in the final hence at least second place. He forfeit his chance for 750$, which is potential money for him, because he wasn't feeling up to par. Right decision was either a reschedule or leave it how it was.

Really? Do you not read anything other people are posting? Yes, they could reschedule the game, but the point of the tournament was for the barcraft community, and why it was sponsored. You can't just ask people who have come out for a night of fun (may be one of their few nights off a week) and then say please come back tomorrow so you can watch the finals.
It's easy to say they should just reschedule for someone who is just sitting behind a computer.

So no it isn't possible for them to just reschedule the whole thing. Also people who complain about the schedule should really ask themself, when do you usually visit a bar? RIIIIIGHT in the evening/at night. Of course that leaves us with a bad schedule for EU players, but they knew this before they accepted to play in the tournament...
I'm really quite the Stephano fan but this whole thing was his fault and he just acted unprofessional here.

Stephano just have been more diplomatic about forfeiting rather than just logging off. Losing the prize money is more than enough of a penalty that he must have been DAMN tired to throw that away.

No, Stephano isn't playing for the fans. None of these players are. If they were, there wouldn't need to be prize money. Stephano qualified to top 2, the organizers shouldn't be able to remove what he gained from merit because he gave a walk over finals.

I personally would be pissed if they rescheduled I'd rather watch illusion vs Kas tonight than have to wait for tomorrow to see Stephano just because Stephano couldn't fulfill his obligations
welcome to the real world where if you say you're gonna do something at a specific time, you're expected to do it. he's lucky he's getting any money at all, it really should've gone to someone who was willing to play out the whole thing.
edit: and before someone says "IT'S 2 AM HE'S TIRED" Kas is sitting on his ass waiting to play and it's an hour later for him currently since Ukraine is a timezone ahead of France
