Not necessarily true. Korean Protosses have shown great success with alternating between mid-game pressure and extremely passive macro games. However the structure of Dual Sight kinda forces the P to get aggressive as the third is so hard to set up and hold.

please link me a game where protoss takes a 3rd without pressuring in pvz, i'm just curious because i'd really like to play that style

Genius played an awesome fast third plus stargate vs DRG. It had pressure, but not the mass gate (+ tech of choice_ bullshit that almost all Toss are doing, it was taaasty.

Genius is back to being boss mode recently to be fair.

Exactly. He's a beast, and his style is what I think all Toss are gonna do at some point. Except for MC, he'll stay 2base for ever.
