As far as I can make out the BRACKET happens tomorrow and currently we get replays of the pool matches, unfortunately ONOG can't cast all the games form the pool stage so until they release results of games that aren't casted we don't know who has advanced.

Not necessarily true. Korean Protosses have shown great success with alternating between mid-game pressure and extremely passive macro games. However the structure of Dual Sight kinda forces the P to get aggressive as the third is so hard to set up and hold.

Genius played an awesome fast third plus stargate vs DRG. It had pressure, but not the mass gate (+ tech of choice_ bullshit that almost all Toss are doing, it was taaasty.

Exactly. He's a beast, and his style is what I think all Toss are gonna do at some point. Except for MC, he'll stay 2base for ever.

The tricky thing with labelling MC as purely a 2 baser, is that his macro game is actually fucking sick, it's just that when he see's something that triggers him into going for some sort of 2 base, he's fucking deadly because his timing/execution are simply world class.

No doubt, he's a top Toss, but he's still more likely to do a timing than any other player of his class.


I agree with Flanq. MC does his pushes based on reads I feel. How else is he going to put pressure on the opponent? Why would he want to play nr20 when he senses weakness and can win right now with his unit control.
