You have to understand, MC needed to punish the 3 early hatch build by leenock on daybreak. When a toss forge fe on that map and zerg takes 3 quick bases, then if the toss doesn't punish it, then you get stephano vs nightend at home story cup where zerg will just overrun you with roaches and there's nothing the toss can do about it.

We shouldn't be harsh on him for losing to Leenock and MC but we can still be harsh on him for how he played those games. I only watched the Leenock games but I thought that game one he had a good starting build but couldn't execute well late game, letting Leenock chip away at him with multi pronged attacks, and game two he just looked awful.

We don't see much of that in sc2 now beyond the most obvious. True, we never know how good a player's practice partners really are ^^ If you're playing against one of the best of a race, it'll be really hard to know what you need to work on until you play against them a few times.

i am rather confused about the up&down matches for this season, because i am currently going back and watching the up&down matches from november gsl at gomtv, but they are the same as this seasons? when i go to november GSL, it says that the up&down matches are 2012 GSL season 1! i'm confused, which is the correct season it belongs to? on topic: MC! hell yeah! sucks for leenock, he caught a huge break for a while and it seems he's back to his original bad-luck streak...

MC beat Mvp in WCG once and lost once to him. And a long time ago when MC was invincible MC beat Mvp 2:1 in a Korean Tourney which I forgot the name of. Just because MLG uses an extended series rule, you can't disregard the first set. MC won the first bo3 at providence 2-0. MVP then won the 2nd set in an extended series 4-2.
