He lost the first set 2-0. Then in the losers' bracket MvP won the second and third sets to finish it at 4-2.

He really got shafted with this group, I honestly have no doubt had it been any other group he would've made it out and I have a feeling we would've seen him get through RO16 aswell. He just really caught the shaft because when you have only been playing for a few months and 1. You get Leenock, alright ya that is shit. But then 2. You get both Supernova (who has always been a beast) and MC (also always been a beast just slumped for awhile) and then to make that worse they are on your team so for the few months you have been playing you have been playing against them, they are going to know your every move, your strats, your reactions, he is a dynamite player but no matter how unique your strats are when you play with those people and ladder they are obviously going to be able to read you like a book just like Supernova did with MC. I feel like he will crush his way through Code A again because he really is Code S quality, and when we see him back next month (hopefully he wont get shafted into a group of his teammates again) he will be that much more dominant with another month under his belt. Unfortunately with the new format, gsl is now every two months instead of one.... we won't be seeing him in code s for another two months =(

Yah... because a group with MVP/Nestea/Idra or MMA would have been so much easier to get out of. He didn't get shafted. Every group is quite tough and he simply lost.

I was not saying that every group was not hard, because they all are very difficult, I am saying that when half of your group is people that can read you like a book it makes it very hard, especially for someone that has a unique style like fOrGG, when alot of his style comes from things that people don't play against often and then you throw him in a group with 2 of the 3 players being people that play against him often it really fucks with his style see what I am saying? Also as someone said he has been playing for 8 months, when half the time of your development in a game is spent playing with certain players they are going to be able to read you while they have been playing twice as long as you making it that much harder for you to read them as it is for them to read you.

Leenock vs forGG game 1 got my hopes up and then... 1-1-1 x 2, supernova, void ray allins, proxy hatches, baneling busts, 7 gates awful lol basically they did whatever it takes to win and advance in Code S. I'm pretty sure they didn't have a no rush for 15 minutes rule where they planned for each game to be a 30 min long macro game. That's whole point of the Bo3 format is to see how your opponent will react to your build orders each game. "metagaming" or whatever. You got to admit that 1-1-1 on Antiga Shipyard with the cloak banshee against MC was pretty sneaky. MC: "There's no way he would do a 1-1-1 twice... OH FUCK CLOAK BANSHEE!" (all of MC's probes are dead)

Sure they had the right to do what they did but it still was stupied. As for watching it, I am not and I feel freaking GREAT!! I can think of 1000 things that I rather do then watch GSL tbh. But thats just my personal preference. So you enjoy it! yeah ok why are u even trolling the gsl forums than lol

And TL still whines about MC's playstyle. Btw am I the only one who is annoyed at hearing "mass gateway units only"? Is that even supposed to be a negative? TvP consists of "mass rax" unit with bio. Haters these days man

Lol at the people complaining about mc cheese, when leenock tried to cheese him games 1 and 2. Also lol to people saying mc never goes off 2 bases, when in games 1 and 2 against forgg he went to 3 and 4 bases in macro games. You have to understand, MC needed to punish the 3 early hatch build by leenock on daybreak. When a toss forge fe on that map and zerg takes 3 quick bases, then if the toss doesn't punish it, then you get stephano vs nightend at home story cup where zerg will just overrun you with roaches and there's nothing the toss can do about it. MC is merciless. As soon as he sees an opportunity to win he grabs it with both hands. People seem to confuse this with being a 1 base / 2 base rush player. If he gets no opportunity to strike he keeps taking bases, but if he sees an opening he'll go for it to secure the win.

For protoss players, Mc's stream is simply much better. But Mc does not play on ladder that much like Hero does.
