I'm also not watching this GSL for that very reason. I may not even watch again until Naniwa returns. It ruins the competitive atmosphere when players have to bend to the business wishes of GOM or face random punishment. I will agree that their punishment may not have been set in stone before it happened, but what he did was VERY childish, and he should have been reprimanded, too far too little can be argued as technicalities, but he did something that a true competitor should never do without punishments, and that is to be a pull a punk-childish-bitch-move. And that's what he did, so he was punished, I'm not going to argue whether or not it was too much or too little.

They did not revoke Naniwa's GSL spot, because Naniwa never had a GSL spot to begin with. Do you think GSL will still happen if there were no audience ? We bought ticket. They make money out of it and organize a competition with it. If we were all gone, GSL will not be here. And about the gift to Naniwa, of course it's full bullshit. Sorry, I know this discussion do not belong here. This is my last post about it.

Leenock only saw the zealots. It's impossible to have burrow that fast when going for 3 quick bases anyway. Even if he had burrow, you need at least 15 roaches to make use of it properly. I think Leenock did the correct response, and again, even Artosis agreed with it and was sure that MC's push will fail.

You can tell competitive gaming is getting there when the hyperbole around it perfectly mirrors that of athletic sports. It's totally depressing. I look forward to every player being 'In Crisis' the moment they lose a match. Ugh, I hate modern times.

From what you're saying, Leenock should have stopped at 35 drones, get a lot of early roaches to prevent the pylons and also crawlers? All that while not knowing if MC will all in. With speed lings around, it would be super hard to put down any pylons. He still had slow lings at the 9 minute mark, man.

He will always destroy the 3rd base at minimun while most pro zergs obviously feel they need 3 base to handle ffe. Dunno, but the match up of PvZ just lacks something. Damn right. I'm proud of any player who uses a lame all in or timing when shit isn't in their favour. MC did what he had to do to win, and he fucking won. That's all i ask for in players i choose as my favourites. And this is coming from a guy whose favourite player, #1, in the whole world, is the Leenocktopus. I love winners.

A pretty decent counterstrategy against this kind of a build is to start burrow and roach speed as soon as the lair is done so you get burrowed roaches, and yes it's going to be in time unless you are way too slow, 8:30 isn't really that fast and you in my opinion should be prepared to defend even by 8:15 unless you scout something that indicates otherwise.

With the amount of games artosis watches that suggests the push generally fails, so MC must have executed well, Leenock defended poorly, or most likely a combination of the two
