This Monday, January 2nd 2011, Team GoSu's young Terran Caleb "STX" Richards will match wits with one of the most popular Terrans on the planet in Complexity's Kevin "qxc" Riley.
This match represents the rescheduling of the previously delayed qxc vs. GoSu.Kyhol showmatch, which was eventually cancelled due to unresolved scheduling conflicts.
The MaxFrag.net sponsored showmatch will go live on the It's Gosu eSports stream at 7:00PM EST (4:00PM PST, 1:00AM CEST), and will be a best of five series beginning on MLG Metalopolis. The rest of the map pool will be composed of the announced MLG Orlando map pool, found below.
The showmatch will be casted by the It's Gosu eSports casting crew, Ayesee and Redmagejr.

No offense to QXC but I've seen STX take games/series off way better players. STX is definitely underrated for how well he plays. He recently took a bo3 off gumiho in playhem daily.

Not sure who will win, I fell 1-2 to STX at the Irvine-esports-barcraft lan. Granted I was hella tired as I had been up since 6:00am and it was 11:00 at night, however he is a very good player. The same can be said for qxc as well. Not sure who will win this to be honest. I'll definitely check it out.
p.s. To all the idiots in this thread mindlessly posting, please research before making asses of yourself. Just because a player isn't a "name traded on the TL-forum-stock market" doesn't mean they aren't a good player.

Um. The jedi all-killer most probably will sweep the floor with this guy. TvT and any other mirror matchup is usually hard to predict because, even though as with any showmatch one player will be clearly better, they have the same units to work with and one mistake by the better player can let the worse one win.
But QxC's insane all over the map 100% constant agression, to his late game nitro reapers, is unique to him and will be too much for STX to handle imo.

qxc doesn't have his SouL in the game as much as his opponent imo, there's no way he can stay Calm during the games. my Kalculations predict an STX win here.

They wanted to give STX a chance to show his skills, so bo31 might be the wrong choice, because QXC is a real bo31-specialist, in fact he was never defeated by anyone in that kind of competition.

STX was pretty much even or ahead on supply throughout that game.

I don't usally bash casters but these guys are awful. They don't auctally know what they are tlaking about. It makes the entire match bad.
I guess with the right casters any match could be awesome.

They're good casters but the analysis is really lacking. Maybe in future just have one of them alongside an analyst? Get a GoSu player to come on and do analysis maybe!
