Doesn't really matter how someone plays when there's no pressure. Since when has anyone said squirtle is a top 8 GSL player in practice?

Well, that failed miserably.

I really agree with this. While July does have more GSL accomplishments, considering the hype from his sc1 career, he has been rather lackluster in these later seasons. As well as his finals run was a really weak lineup, he got a bit lucky (not saying he didnt deserve it)
If Hero played his best, I would consider him a slight favorite.

Since he is part of Liquid, HerO is highly overrated, so prepare to see him loose roughly guys (just my opinion)

No he didn't. Hero failed to read the situation when he saw the lair tech. when has no spine + relatively quick 3rd + standard lair timing (after 3rd hatch) ever meant 10 min mutas.. He went lair before third (the standard third timing nowadays is 4:30-5mins, his was at like 6:30 lol), went for a ton of lings to be safe (near identical worker counts, July just had the 3rd for the gas) and scouted at the fastest possible timing reliably. You're wrong dude =/ On December 23 2011 18:51 hugedong wrote:On December 23 2011 18:49 Jehct wrote:On December 23 2011 18:47 Alejandrisha wrote:On December 23 2011 18:45 Elefanto wrote: Funny how all hailed Hero as the best Protoss when other were failing left and right in Code S, but now that Hero plays against the same opponents he looks as mortal / "bad" as the others were before him. how did he look bad? july blind countered him.. That's the silliest thing I've seen in this thread so far. July played a pretty safe/standard muta opening and he was blind countering? He actually scouted with an overseer, unlike Hero (who went prism before obs) O_o It was the least safe muta build you could've done other than 1 base muta. He had 10 lings and 0 spines which would've very easily died to any 5+ gate pressure. He did do 5gate pressure O_o He just did the warp prism variant that Sase and a few others do. There were a lot more than 10 lings out before the mutas. I don't know what else to say, haha. i seriously doubt 10 min muta was reactionary to what he scouted. that's all i'm saying As mentioned earlier - july is the underdog and weaker player. I don't like either player and I wanted july to lose actually. However, hero say the overseer and knew mutas could be on the way, but he coin flipped that there wasn't one when he had scouting options available to him. Get real, Hero doing well in Foreigner tours without code s competition doesn't mean he's anything on Code S players. His success in the GSL is proof of that, the same for Puma. Ok, whatever... anyways, my initial point - i'm criticising hero for coin flipping when he had information available. Whether july coin flipped or not is besides the point. Whether who is better or not is a moot point. Building mutas is not a coin-flip, July just went with a 2 base muta strat and HerO just failed.

Huge misplacement by Luvsic on that Nydus.

Nydus would be good if it didn't die against 2 probes and it didn't take ages to set up

From what I've heard Squirtle consistently finishes 2nd in the Startale internal rankings and he's crushed Bomber several times on his stream. But you wouldn't know that if you only watched his game against Boxer, where he looked incredibly mediocre for the majority of the game.
