So Tassadar and Ryung are both also players you don't think deserved to be in the up/downs? If you are evaluating this purely by results, it is fair to say the same for Ryung and Tassadar. I think he meant that Ryung and Tassadar both worked their way through Code A to get to Up/Downs, whereas Morrow was invited straight to Up/Downs. The "opportunity" he is talking about is Morrow given direct access to Up/Downs, not just being in the Up/Downs at all. Right, but all he was referring to were his results. I also think that people need to consider how much more excitement and interest foreigners in GSL generates. The GSL is hugely comprised of really well performing Koreans, but throwing in some top foreigners keeps things exciting and makes a lot of people watch, whom may not have watched otherwise. Its not like the entire sanctity of the GSL has been compromised from Morrow going 1-3.

I haven't managed to find the endurance to finish either up/down night, which is extremely odd for me because I sit through every GSL match. I definitely prefer an up/down over a TvT or a ZvZ match.

There's actually no way to stop double stargate from doing enough damage if you don't scout it. Next game, he scouts an all-in, gets the right unit comp for it (it still would of been close of killer would have all-ined) and then killer just expands so Morrow is behind. Considering its pretty much impossible to pressure on antigua as zerg, I don't see how it's fair, but I guess that's just the current map pool. What could he really have done against Killer's 3 base army if he lost that badly even with superior upgrades? The answer is about 10 broodlords, which he couldn't afford because he had to make roaches and infestors (huge investment for nothing) in the mid game. He took ZERO damage the entire game, yet didn't have to income for hive tech because he had to get defenses to defend the threat of an all-in. It's REALLY hard to defend blink all-in, even with infestors, so he HAD to get these units. Really trying to figure out what he did wrong. I really don't see how you can beat a lategame protoss army if you had to make a midgame investment yielding nothing. Even if you're two bases ahead. Still, sucks to see Morrow lose for such ridiculous reasons. His last game... well BO losses are going to happen as Zerg. You should stop this. He is just not at the level to defeat those players and that is all. Toss is a race top Korean zergs do not lose to. What Tassadar and Killer did was not sth brilliant or what, it was sth usual and if you r good enough, u would beat them. Look at the gsl zvp win rate, it is the easiest matchup a zerg player can play at the moment.

O_O In any event, with Lucky going up yesterday, and Bomber and Gumiho today, I think all the people who really deserve to be there got into code S. I suppose Ryung not being in is unfortunate, but obviously it was impossible. I'm happy with the results. :D Ryung's tvp looked good this time, I was really surprised that he did not win a TVT and lost his T v Z game too.

Step 1. cheese and be constantly aggressive. Step 2. wait for them to mess up in micro, macro, decision-making. Step 3. ez wins. Poor Ryung, he, apparently, didn't know about the strategy.

Maybe for you, but when they start inviting people based solely off reputation I actually watch less of the GSL you mean, you don't like seeing koreans destroying foreign fan favourites on the gsl format? i assume you should since you don't like them being there in the first place. i myself, always root for foreigners in the gsl till probably to the round of 8, then yearn for their crushing defeat afterwards. it warms my heart ![]()
