Not sure if posted bu Bomber got a yellow card for his game vs killer where he screwed up his dance command. No real penalty but it's notable

Uhm morrow went 1-3 just like tassadar and ryung, I'd say he showed that the invite wasn't wasted

are you freaking kidding me?? so not getting completely destroyed is the standard for measuring success?? give me a break, morrow failed and shouldn't have even been given this opportunity.

So Tassadar and Ryung are both also players you don't think deserved to be in the up/downs? If you are evaluating this purely by results, it is fair to say the same for Ryung and Tassadar.

I think he meant that Ryung and Tassadar both worked their way through Code A to get to Up/Downs, whereas Morrow was invited straight to Up/Downs.

The "opportunity" he is talking about is Morrow given direct access to Up/Downs, not just being in the Up/Downs at all.

Right, but all he was referring to were his results. I also think that people need to consider how much more excitement and interest foreigners in GSL generates. The GSL is hugely comprised of really well performing Koreans, but throwing in some top foreigners keeps things exciting and makes a lot of people watch, whom may not have watched otherwise. Its not like the entire sanctity of the GSL has been compromised from Morrow going 1-3.

Maybe for you, but when they start inviting people based solely off reputation I actually watch less of the GSL

you mean, you don't like seeing koreans destroying foreign fan favourites on the gsl format? i assume you should since you don't like them being there in the first place.

i myself, always root for foreigners in the gsl till probably to the round of 8, then yearn for their crushing defeat afterwards. it warms my heart

No, I like seeing players that actually fought through the qualifiers playing there, whether or not they get crushed.

A yellow card is jsut a warning, but if he gets another one he gets a red card which means a loss.

Bomber said he's scared of getting a red card, so he won't be doing any dancing this season.

Yep, this is pretty fair punishment - too bad the viewers won't be seeing anymore dancing from him!

nah its legit, you can't have people typing random shit in game to fuck up the other guy's concentration.
i don't think they have anything against ceremonies as long as the game is over.
in BW kespa disqualifies you if you type another other than "ppp" for pause.

Just to elaborate on this - typing 'pp' requests a pause, and Kespa disqualified someone because they accidentally typed 'ppp' instead of 'pp'.

So yeah, the warning is fair IMO. Keep in mind that it is just a warning, as long as Bomber doesn't do it again (which he said he won't), we've got nothing to worry about.

I can't make the thread tonight as I won't be able to update it.

However if by morning time (setting my alarm to 5:45 EST) there is still no thread, I will create one and update to the best of my abilities.

I'm going to be awake, but I think I'm going to just watch the games, because if they overlap I have KSL stuff to do

I think Protoss players need to not freak out about this group. SangHo has been sooooooo off his game for months now, he hasn't looked good since like September GSL or something along those lines. As for Tassadar, he is a largely unproven talent, with one good Code A run and a couple stints in Code B (I'm a Protoss player btw, I just don't think all that much of these two in particular).

Agreed. This group didn't exactly contain the Protoss race's hopes and dreams. SangHo is a slightly better HongUn - quite consistent, pretty good but not as sick as you have to be to make it to Code S now. Tassadar is the king of all-ins who got crushed by Puzzle in Code A finals - a bit like MC, but without the flair, originality or unpredictability.

And yesterday. Alicia hasn't looked promising in god knows how long, and Huk has only been hyped up because he's a foreigner and won an MLG playing mostly PvPs (and has since then been highly inconsistent in PvP). Out of the bunch, I would say HuK is probably the most promising, and he has looked streaky since forever.

Currently, I think there are only 2 REALLY good Protoss players in the world: Oz and MC. Behind them, you have the likes of Brown, Huk, HerO, Puzzle and Naniwa, all of whom have made splashes but have yet to make it big in GSL or else appear to have gaping flaws in their play. The 3rd tier of Protoss consists of Tassadar, SangHo, Alicia et al. None of them have a big chance of making big splashes, but are still notable.

Seems reasonable to me too. Honestly Killer and Tassadar's play looked like it didn't even belong in Code A in these matches.

Well, at least this means that they'll be staying true to a manner code after the incident last week. Makes sense all things considered.

GSL is becoming a great tournament.
Hard to get into, hard to stay in.

Just curious, do Bomber speak English to his viewers in his stream?
