Welcome to the  Korean StarLeague! The KSL is sponsored by own3d.tv and can be viewed as an European event series that features the Korean Pro-Teams. From Monday to Thursday there will be a single player competition. Each of the 8 Pro-Teams will send out one player and they will play each other in a single-elimination tournament-style bracket. All of the games will be best of three. The winning player receives a $100 prize, with $50 going to the runner-up! Friday through Sunday there will be team-matches, which will use a Winner's League format, with the winning team taking home a prize of $200!

That was a nice game by both. Seed had a decent advantage after Seal over-reacted to the early pressure. Tide started to turn with a great fungal on stalkers in the middle of the map, then the difficulty of securing a third base started to kick in

I told you for weeks that hiding bases would work well ! :D Most pros don't check for those a good % of the time. (and by a good % I mean like 90% of the time they don't scout for hidden bases)

Yep. In the current metagame (not sure if the usage is correct but you understand :p), no one is hiding base and no one is scouting for hidden base either, this could be exploited, even in high stakes matches (in fact jjakji did it in the finals vs Leenock, set 1). Of course with time players will start to scout for those, but at the moment this could be exploited hard.

Yeah, no offense to the current or past op, but I prefer if people only make lr threads if they know they can update them. It's happened a little too often with the KSL.

Well, TheStC played that base race very well.
BLs / infestor can't defend the map. And because Seal let all the BLs die to marines because he send back the infestor, he was pretty much dead.

1st rule of TvZ : if your army can crush the terran push, crush it. Don't go for the terran base. The time it'll take to kill the T main is the time the T will take to kill 4 of your bases.

Monster does stupid things - in the GSL U&D, he could've beaten Alicia in a normal game (Alicia is not that good and Calm Before the Storm is not bad ZvP) but decided to do a retarded 8-pool + drone all-in cheese. That cost him a chance for a Code S spot.

Maybe his second win? His vT seems to be his best match up while TheStC doesn't exactly look comfortable late game.

Wow, I tuned out for a short while and Choya has lost already.
Interestingly, Keen did this reactor helion vs nexus first against huk in their ro24 Code A matches. It seems reactor helions may be the counter to nexus first??

Didn't see if it was Nexus first or 1 gate FE, but there was no Reactor on the Factory. And yes, Reactor Hellion is strong against Nexus first if the Protoss player doesn't wall.

I'm not sure that build is defendable with choya's build. I guess the best way to react is to pull your nat probes and bring them to the main, retreat to your ramp, forcefield it and build a robo. One bas vs one base and you have a lot more probes. Not sure it's enough but it's the best way imo.

e: did a nice job with the blink flank though.
Good illustration of why you shouldn't just target fire a unit and forget about it in that engagement, Choya's immortal desperately trying to get in range of tanks while being shunted aside by Zealots the whole time heh, barely got a shot off in the end.
