It's 7:13am in korea right now, which means polt has been playing all through the night.
hm but if he enters in this cup he knew it could end late.
btw too bad Polt only try cheese build I hope we will see some macro games
Well, of course he knew he would play late. The point is, playing all night like that is a lot harder than starting at 2pm, which is mid afternoon, since you implied stephano would be tired. He can't be more tired than polt.

Polt's sense of timing and bio control is arguably the best in the world - it's why he can consistently beat MMA using bio.
Which is why he eventually gets crushed when his "sense of timing" is ever off, especially when skilled macro/tactical players like MMA and Stephano catch on. Ultimately he can only go up so far on the ladder playing the way he does.

Then your understanding of how terran works is fundamentally flawed. He has very precisely thought out builds that account for every stage of the game. Has insane understanding of timings and positioning. And to boot has top level mechanics out there. I've gotten to high masters using almost nothing but his builds.

Nothing's higher than #1 GM (which he was for 5 days).
Polt has better micro and tactics than MMA, which is why he beats MMA most of the time and it's close whenever MMA wins. MMA has a larger assortment of builds and gets far more aggressive.

It's pretty obvious those comments were made with little to no knowledge on of the player.
2 2, interesting final, last game was a nice win by Stephano. Both have been playing for hours now (Stephano is around 40 games played today ), so we will see who has the most endurance
Meh, I don't see Stephano win against a terran on this map =/

I think my knowledge of both players is more than sufficient, thank you.

This is becoming somewhat spammy, but I was referring to the guy you were responding to initially. As in, I agreed with you.

Timing is a large part of what constitutes 'strategy' in RTS games. Funny enough, Stephano is a player with a great sense of timing - that last game is a perfect example. Do you think if Stephano waited a couple more minutes for Polt to mule up on his 3rd base, and finish adding reactors to his barracks, that the midgame would have gone in his favor? Stephano knew Polt was macro'ing up, and attacked at just the right time.

That was a really impressive hold, I really didn't think Stephano would have enough. Polt might still try to pressure with tanks, but in those positions it's not as strong because it's much easier to get a surround and cut off reinforcements.

And I think we see with these games that there is a ceiling to using timing attacks as well, I believe the better player won today.
