Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable.
And as always: - No player bashing. - No caster bashing. - No balance whining.
Enjoy the games. |

MVP at the bottom left, DRG in the top right.
MVP getting his rax and gas, DRG going for 15 hatch. DRG going for a later pool, MVP getting his factory up and a reactor. MVP going reactor hellion with his command center finishing up. DRG getting his speed and 1 spine.
MVP with double reactored factory, DRG with only 1 spine, but putting his macro hatch in a nice sim-city position.

They say the same about protoss. There are ways to counter what Stephano did, no reason to complain about this particular example.

That SimCity may save DRG

You right, it's not unreasonable. It's just unobjective.
Honestly it has been a while since we have seen Stephano's play. Objectively, HerO (Dreamhack Winner) was the favorite, but Stephano outplayed him. That's about it.

MVP with a TON of hellions, killing the queen, breaks through, but the spine doing a TON of damage.

Stephano algo gave like 5 or 6 roaches for free at the ramp. And forgot burrow. Still a-move roach ownage.

But the roach control was nice. He didn't keep them in one big clump - made lot of flanking roach attacks.
Anyone thinks the group will be 1) MVP 2) Stephano ?

Could be worse could have been Mutas.
That's just the matchup. The game was over with the failed early attack. It actually appears to be a BO loss or a misread by Hero. Either that build is obsolete or hero must have expected something else from early scouting. Once that absurdly early third got up it was always going to be a nightmare getting his third up/putting on pressure. Perhaps doomballing with roving warp prisms to keep it 3-2 base for awhile might be a smart play for recovery. Either way there was a window with that third and hero didn't trade well enough.
