Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable.
And as always: - No player bashing. - No caster bashing. - No balance whining.
Enjoy the games. |

But hey, lets just ignore that MVP is presently undefeated vs protoss on Antiga

MVP is 4-1 against HerO all time, including rolling him at Providence.
Lets not get too overeager here.

Haha, Stephano hair allways totally insane

I think dBLing took a game off him at WCG too 1 map means nothing we allways have to take a large number of games before you can validate a players current form
It shows that he may have a weakness in that matchup if he dropped a game to a player not even on the same skill level of say HerO or MC

MMA is going to win the whole thing.

Ouch... 13-1 on Antiga.
Could be coincidence but that is more data than most players have about certain maps.

No, one game as an isolated event really doesn't even say that much. It really doesn't mean absolutely anything (and I'm not even a big MVP fan).
People need to stop taking small amounts of data and making conclusions.

But I thought everyone has figured out Antiga is a very terran favored map by now, so I'm not sure why anyone thinks this match will be close
I think Stephano's chance of getting 3rd in this group are good, but I don't see any way he can beat MVP on Shakuras either. Can't just look at players, need to look at maps too.

My predictions
MVP <Bel'Shir Beach Winter> MC hero <Daybreak> Stephano MVP <Tal'Darim Altar LE> DongRaeGu MC <Calm Before the Storm> hero Stephano <Crossfire SE 1.1> DongRaeGu hero <Antiga Shipyard 1.1> MVP Stephano <Dual Sight 1.1> MC hero <Shakuras Plateau 2.0> DongRaeGu Stephano <Shakuras Plateau 2.0> MVP MC <Crossfire SE 1.1> DongRaeGu

I agree with you on that, no way MVP losses on that map to Stephano we all saw what he did to Nestea at blizzcon. I also think Hero vs Stephano gonna be a lose for Stephano. Hero looks so damm great in that matchup atm. It all comes down to his match vs DRG and MC if he can win those 2. his record will be 2-2 and then I think he will go further

MVP 1st DongRaeGu 2nd Stephano 3rd Hero 4th MC 5th
as much as i love MC..
people are seriously doubting DRG...
GOGO MMA (tomorrow)

Only reason being his very worst matchup is tvp and I'd be surprised if he won against mc andor hero. he will really need to beat the 2 zergs but that'll be tough since I think he'll absolutely need to win vs them. If he does get through though then I think he'll win the whole thing.
1- Hero 2- Stephano (I think this'll be more due to his unique playstyle but he is still extremely skilled) 3- DRG 4- mvp 5-MC
weird how no matter how you do it amazing players will probably end up on the bottom Sick of people saying that....
I only say that because i put him in second or else he'd be 3rd or 4th not 5th getting owned. Even if people knew his playstyle more he'd still do very well But I think he'll do even better just because he's unique so thats no reason to get all pissy.
And to people saying MVP will own, tvp is his worst match-up and not too long ago became code A because of it. People hype up MVP so much since he wins GSL a lot. He is an amazing player But GSL is mostly terran(His TvT almost untouchable) as you all know and his TvZ is still greatness but his TvP will still be lacking a lot because he hasn't been able to practice it since WCG and he has 2 to play against amazing protoss'.

Remember page 28 guys, this is when dapierow told you that DRG will place 1st in this group.
|
1st: MVP 2nd: MC 3rd: Hero 4th: DRG 5th: Stephano
I doubt MVP will have too many issues taking first in this group, the only problem would be his weakness in the TvP match up. Seeing as this is Bo1, I feel if MC hits his random timings that seem to work for him and him alone when he is on his "A" game, he can snag second place. Hero looks pretty good as of late, but that is really only against foreigners at recent events (NASL/Dreamhack). DRG is always a big wildcard like MC in my opinion. Sometimes he looks pretty good, other times he is just kind of eh. Finally Stephano, while he won a tourney here and there as of late, he has never had to face off against top tier Korean players, and even though this is Bo1, this tourney should show his ability in the GSL setting of being able to prepare for certain players and what not. But going back to his lack of experience against top Koreans, I feel he will fall in some close games.

The players having all crazy skills and given that it is BO1, I guess map balance will be a very big factor.
