that will be legend. With 12 GSL titles a year, (seriously way too much) I would be disappointed if a foreigner didn't win a single title in 2012. With Naniwa, Idra, Huk, Sase, Demuslim(?) and Morrow competing, I'm expecting that title. There are less than 12 GSLs. They take breaks. This one is GSL #7 for 2011. If you count WC and Super Tournament, there were only 9 GSLs this year.

Wow. Did not see that coming.

Inca's one was memorable for being hilarously bad thanks to Inca's inspired DTs play.
Nestea vs Losira actually had some nice games.

It will be kind of scary and sad if ForGG just crushes his way to the GSL finals. It would be premature to have the finals that ushered in the era of players with BW experience to be eclipsed by a harbinger of the best of the BW pros possibly making a switch.

Just having watched Leenock vs Jjakji . . . I would be so surprised if a foreigner wins GSL in 2012.
Maybe if a foreigner invited to Code A actually manages to win a few games . . . . but that's been rare.

Well, that and the fact that when you go to GSL there's literally 5x more koreans in the pool. The players that are being sent to MLG and other tournaments are only a small fraction of korea, and although they're all pretty good, they have to start from the bottom and usually knock each other out.

Yeah but idra and jinro did it at at a time when the gap was still pretty close. The gap has widened significantly since then. Huk i don't even know if he can possibly get out of code A now, hes facing mvpkeen whos a pretty damn good tvper.

Maybe Thorzain but he's not particularly consistent and seems to really struggle with Z. Jinro's stuck in the Code B wilderness and given the amount of stupidly good players there are still kicking around there I'm not sure if he'll be able to break back through. Demuslim is definitely not close.
Foreign Terrans just don't stack up for whatever reason, our toss and zerg are much closer to their KR counterparts.

Foreigners look competitive in MLG because most of the top koreans are in the open bracket honestly. We will see with the format change. And I don't see how a foreigner could win a GSL since there are twice as more koreans who are as good or better than the foreign ones in the GSL :s. But I think that a foreigner in ro4 is very possible, in the final it may but winning it I don't think so. MorroW looks scary tho, I didn't see the games between him and MaNa but 3-0ing him is not easy task, he should be a total monster after being in korea for several months :D

I don't think thorzain can do it. He did pretty well in his time in korea but his record wasn't anything close to code S standard. I think he will be a code A player in korea if he stayed there.

I can't imagine any code S terran putting up the results that thorzain does in foreign tournaments. Look at all the korean terrans that travel around and they always put up results (unless they meet another korean). Thorzain is on the second page of TLPD as well. Code A terran seems rather weak though.

I think it's because KR terrans are generally better than KR protoss and zerg, barring exceptions. Not because foreigner Protoss and Zerg are better than foreigner terrans.

I think its reason to reventure the arguement that Terran scales best with skill :p. Its not like terrans are ripping face in Code Aeither anymore. Its just the really hot ones that are managing, I mean theres a healthy amount but yeah.
