Please stop the tournament comparison discussion. Especially regarding players their runs (Stephano seems to be the current topic). Stay on topic and stick to the games. Consequences will be met out to further derailment.

In addition leave the usual out of this topic:

-Balance complaints
-Map complaints
-Stream complaints
-Caster/player bashing
-Off topic discussions

Logically continue this list with things that are obviously frowned
upon. Enjoy the free and wonderful event with loads of games and coverage!

Why is it neccesary to choose the best players just by how they play 1/2 events?? >_> Overall people tend to focus way too much on power ranking players. Anyway, there's a break now as far as I recall they'll do the next games in like 30-45 minutes.

Exactly, it's silly how bad some peoples memory is. He wins numerous big events in 2 months then only makes it to the top 32 out of 64 in DH and suddenly he sucks.

Its RIGHT above the thread..

Protoss players never got banned for complaining, so if they now ban terran players for complaining it just proves my point that this community is bias towards protoss. Make up your mind, you either allow everyone to complain, or nobody at all. You can't just allow protoss players to constantly complain and ban everyone else.

oh please...go to any live report from when protoss were slumping and I bet youll find just as many terran and zerg whinging. Yeh they made the sad zealot fanclub more to gather protoss and hope someone came along, that thread now has gone to hell and it is full of balance whines, but msot of them came from Zergs and Terrans coming in and stirring the pot looking for a reaction.

When did a terran every complain in the last couple of months? You have to be kidding me right? In the last few months protoss was whining all over the place, you hardly ever saw a zerg or terran complain.

And yet again you blame the other races: "its Z and T player's fault that we complain so much, protoss is innocent."

I am gonna say its because they are Korean?

Americans did not go by that logic in the finals of MLG.

And who is rooting against Hero? Show him to me cause we need to talk.

How can you root against leenock? He's soooo cuteeee. Anyways, looking forward to watching Send and Drg play.

I don't think Americans were rooting for the Koreans as much as they were rooting against Naniwa with some of the comments he made. I'm not giving an opinion on the matter, just pointing out how things went down.

There is a lot of desperation to find a non-Korean powerhouse. Stephano rode the hype train right into several brick walls when people (not too many admittedly) were saying he was better than Nestea, Naniwa repeatedly bombed out of Code A etc.

Really the foreign scene is deeper than it looks, and nobody in it is truly better than the rest. While the Korean scene is exactly as deep as it looks and there's a few players who are emerging as the best of the best (MVP primarily, Nestea until very recently).
I'm not bad at Starcraft; I just think winning's rude.

You can go to the casters page of Twitch.tv (click on the "view on twitch.tv" link at the bottom of each stream)

There you'll find the unedited raw footage.

SjoW had an incredibly dominant period peaking with an IEM -> randomly falls out of tournaments to no name players at this point

Jinro was considered one of the best terrans in the world, made top 4 in GSL twice (I think?), then suddenly started playing like shit and hasn't come close to his former play ever since.

Thorzain steamrolled TSL like a motherfucking boss, but now he's hardly even a contender for good placements at big tournaments anymore.

I will say, what sjow and thorzain have in common is that they are not really fast players, so the more the game is played well with multiple agressions,(...), the more they will not be as dominant as before.

Don't really know for jinro

So Nerchio is the best ? ^^ Tis was really a bad day for Stephano, he maybe wasn't prepared but wtf vs Sheth he didn't cancel his hacherys two times !!!! I never saw him doing things like that, he maybe was asleep or/and slightly drunk by the party he had yersteday xD

Btw if he keeps preparing tourneys by ladderind 2h every 2 days he won't go far, comon stehano you have such a great potential but you're so lazy TT

Canceling or not canceling doesnt matter, you still get refunded 75% of the minerals, its just that most pros and especially CASTERS just dont seem to know that.
For that reason i find it extremely mind boggling why blizzard introduced these "canceled" animations, as it is completely irrelevant.

The only thing you lose if you dont cancel the hatch, is the drone, but most of the time the drone would die anyways, therefore it really doesnt matter.
Im pretty sure stephano knows about the full refund and therefore rightfully doesnt pay attention to something that he doesnt NEED to pay attention to.

Yeah U may be right. So how many big tournaments did he won? Y, 2 events. And there was this trend that on every show they would just say "oh Stephano will obviously win he is the best European [...]" etc. So this hastily claiming who is the "best foreigner" (talkin about IdrA, Naniwa, Stephano) applies also to Incontrol etc.

imagine only winning 3 major tournaments in the last month or so, what a scrub!

but yeah, he was outclassed by sheth, vs nani was weird, he kept making roaches, just straight up died, and i think he just gave up against cloud, didn't see the games though..

With all the patching it is very volatile, one player might find a strong strat for a while and then the rest catch up.
