Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

This is the hardest tourney that has ever happened in SC2.
You have weeks between GSL matches to study your opponent and relax, prepare, get in a mental state, etc.
In MLG, if you start in the open, you play non-stop basically.

12-0 - Open Bracket 2-0: Boxer 2-0: Haypro 2-0: Slush 2-1: MMA 2-0: Idra 2-0: Huk 2-0: MVP 4-3: DRG Not even close to best zvz series.
just out of curiosity what do you consider the best zvz to date, I can't really remember any. Unless you're talking about bw in a sc2 thread which makes no sense

But seriously ZvZ has evolved into an awesome MU. No TvT but still pretty darn awesome/ PvP has shown some potential and i hope it evolves into something cool.
If anything, I'm starting to feel both ZvZ and PvP are actually better than TvT. Strange how much things have changed(since I hated both before). That total bs. TvT is a better matchup than TvP right now. As I've said, it might be boring for some, but it's the one matchup out of SC2 and BW where everyunit is viable. Total bs indeed, zvz and pvp still look pretty much the same while TVT has evolved so much that I don't think it's even questionable that it's by far the best mirror.

Leenock used to be pretty much a ZvT specialist but he seems to have gotten better at the other match ups.

I think that is what he meant. Instead of ripping through the Open-Bracket at MLG he went to the IPL4-UK-Qualifier.

The best mlg so far... and to be honest for this event we got top players in the world and I would like to see more than 5k dollars (its ridiculously low prize money for such a players) for regular mlg so we can see that kind of events more frequently.
I hope bracket format will change for next season (because it favors a lot some players), I would like to see open bracket as offline tournament, so we will have less games but we could watch more of them, and players would not play 20x bo3 in 3 days.

It's just 2 BO3s and Nani needs to win 1 to win. The way it's worded is misleading. that makes no sense though. this assumes that leenock would have lost 2-0 to naniwa if they had met along the way. which means that if leenock had actually played naniwa on his way to the finals and lost 2-1, he would be better off than he is now. here i was excited that the extended-best-of rule would finally not ruin the finals. This is how double elimination brackets are always done (the 2 series in finals, not the extended series part).

If he loses it, they play another best of 3. (Because Naniwa is coming from the Winners bracket, and Leenock is coming from Losers.) Thats wrong. If Nani loses, second match will be an extended series. It's one best of three. -.-
No it is not, not if Leenock wins the Bo3 then it will go to a Bo7. In other words Naniwa has to win only 2 games whereas Leenock has to win 4.

Rofl that picture of Cleveland Barcraft was hilarious.

MY stream was lagging horribly but it seems to have worked itself out now.

Well, its debatable, but IMO PvP needs a little more figuring out. TvT I like it because T has always been my favourite race since BW. But yeah its amazing how things have evolved

The line-up now being:
Nestea MMA MVP Stephano Naniwa DRG Leenock Blizzcon Winner WCG Winner Open Spot (4th place in GSL points is MC, so more than likely him) That is one ridiculous lineup right there.
Open spot is for whoever wins DreamHack next week.

I'm pretty sure Stephano himself said his chances of going through the open bracket to win the whole thing wasn't high enough to warrant going to MLG. So yeah not exactly easy money ^^
EDIT: I misunderstood the post yeah Stephano did make easy money at IPL xD
