Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

Actually Leenock's ZvP looks amazing right now.

Obviously I see it's a korean thing, I just kind of expected team mate > country. Koreans consider country to be more important than most; nationalism is quite big there. I always got the idea nationalism is pretty big in America. Anyway that's irrelevant, I think you're right, Koreans took a lot of pride in being the greatest Starcraft nation in the world, and while they still are, they're no longer the brick wall, covered with lead, covered with steel, covered with bullet proof glass, covered with diamond that they were in BW. Then you realize you're still comparing as korea vs. EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD COMBINED, and you still see it's pretty far away.

Never. Korea has by far the biggest scene and the best players. Unless that changes and a massive cultural shift happens somewhere else, it will never change. Korea is NOT the biggest scene for SC2. Not yet. It's just the best. You do realize they have local tournaments we don't get to see? Also a shit ton of players we don't get to see. That is 100% incorrect. The only other tournaments that are on a regular basis are the Korean Weekly and the FXO events. Korea is starved for tournaments. What tournaments does the US or Europe have that feature some of the best players in the world and the most prize money in the world, that runs almost every weekday? Or are we pitting the Korean scene against Starcraft 2 all over the world?
The NASL? Technically has some of the best European's and US players...

MLG are big on seedings. Vs. Nani he was low seed, vs. Leenock top seed. That means red color and a certain booth.

I've always wondered if there is a rise in temp bans and warnings when MLG rolls around

Husky always has to take a job in at IdrA. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some youtube casts with the word "tilt" used 40 times.

He has good Zv everything... he messes up terran with sky-zerg style, messes up zerg with heavy baneling-style... SO GOOD

Btw, memes are frowned upon on TL:
Memes, even TL ones, are annoying. Don't 1a2a3a your way to posting over 9000 memes -- we will ban you. There are plenty of places to go if you want to see posters of people failing at things or a humorous caption appended to a photograph of a cat. TeamLiquid is not one of those places. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=17883

Progamers do need to do one more thing to really boost eSports. Whether you're shy, or antisocial, or just a boss, take a note from NASCAR - get your sponsor's name(s) into the conversation every possible way every time. That's what they are really giving you the money for. Other than that, I love the trash talk (genteel as it is), the drama, and even the stoic.
Also, Naniwa will win... because he's just ballertoss.
So, will there be a "Best Signs of the Stream" thread? Some of them are bad, but some (like Kerrigan look alike contest) are pretty funny. Please don't do this. It gets annoying really fast. It's ok to plug your sponsors but when interviews become an excuse for advertisments 90% of viewers will tune out. I agree. It's annoying for the viewers. But it increases the business reasons for sponsors to actually give money to teams, players, and tournaments. Which helps improve the production values, prize pools, and ability for pros to focus on just the game. There's a balance to be maintained, but I just notice that progamers hardly ever work the sponsor names into any interviews. I mean, just a "Thank you for our sponsors (insert names)" would be good towards the end. And wouldn't kill eSports. Their attempts with Xperia Play just come across as uncomfortable and stupid every time.
