Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

The yelling is entirely appropriate from Bitter, clearly he wasn't trying to disrespect Leenock. His style is more in line with commentators of traditional sports and story lines ('don't know who he is' = leenock being under-appreciated, particularly compared with his opponent) help people who are less knowledgeable about the game to get more absorbed and enthralled - is key to the growth of esports. I hadn't heard him before I i think he is damn good.

Leenock crushes him Bitter makes 1 comment emphasizing the underdog aspect mistakenly using the words "I don't know" and 200 nerds jizz in there pants about the chance to brag about how they know more about the gsl than an mlg caster.

Who the hell chose dual sight to be the starting map anyways?Jesus, yes, ActionJesuz.

Mr.Biased needs to tone down his bitter. Also, this series was extremely overrated : huge gamble into easy win g1, mvp failing at everything g2, 4/10.
I like the part where sense is considered a common, settled thing.

Why was MVP vs MC a best of 7 and this a best of 3? The system confuses me.

Extended series. MVP and MC had already played once in the upper bracket which MC won 2-1. So the series starts off at 2-1 in a bo7.

Yeah its called dumb tournament set-up IMO.

Koreans are going to quit going to MLG if they keep it how Leenock has to win literally 20 games against someone who played one. Ridiculous.

Time to change your system MLG.

You don't watch MLG very often do you? This is the finals. Naniwa was seeded there for is performance throughout the year. People who play MLG often are rewarded for that.

Rewarded too well, imo.

We all know why he got rewarded in this way, but the criticism is about the tournament format, not about who Naniwa is. It's just an overwhelmingly biased format. The MLG regular season has it right. It will also lead to not having an almost completely wasted first day as well. (I guess they at least threw up the Global as filler)

The reason MLG does this might have something to do with the issue that each regular season tournament has only ~$5000 in prizes. That's not that much if you don't earn anything else by it. They have monetary limitations.

Exactly. Leenock is such a good player but he seems to be overlooked a lot. It's awesome to finally see him do well. He can ZvT his way to a GSL title this season as well. He might get a rematch with MVP in the next round if he gets through Alive. That would be pretty awesome

MLG knows that their system is bad, it will change next year, and btw leenock lost one series, if he didn't lose he wouldn't have to play that many series.

If you bored, check out how many players showed up at mlg only to play 2 games and leave from championship bracket.

I cheer for Naniwa and I still think it's stupid
It deligitimizes the win IMO

So what...Leenock should be seed equal to Naniwa? A first time player versus a champion + multiple high finishes? This is the FINALS of a national event, after 5 previous events. Personally I don't think there should even be an open bracket at all for the finals. If you are only willing to go to just the final then you shouldn't be in MLG.

And yet most European pros still do not attend on a regular basis.

It's because MLG has a ridiculously low prize pool in their regular season. Please not that there is a difference between being rewarded to well economically, and getting a way to good seed from just going to previous MLG. Really shitty system imo, which "forces" the players to go all the events, even though the prize pool is less than totalbiscuits monthly tournament.

Some people believe it is two spots due to that GSL chart, but MLG made a tweet or something saying something along the lines of "a code s spot" which points that there will only be one code S spot given. Nani just has to place higher than DRG and he should be in Code S, since Leenock is in Code S atm.

It'll be one Code S spot from MLG.

The other Code S spot comes from the ESV Korean Weekly (where the Coca/Byun incident occured)

Ugh... so much gross zerg bias. If MVP won you wouldn't hear a cheer that loud and chants for his name, and he's so accomplished and deserves it. You're crazy.

I don't mind the cheers but the over-hyped casting is beyond the pale. Listening to Mr. Bitter you'd think Leenock was some scrub kid from the bronx who just picked up a mouse yesterday and is playing to save his cancer stricken mother's life.

Come on man. Professionalism is lacking.

They're giving Code S spots to foreigners at this MLG?
