Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

Time to change your system MLG.

You don't watch MLG very often do you? This is the finals. Naniwa was seeded there for is performance throughout the year. People who play MLG often are rewarded for that.

Rewarded too well, imo.

Ya if Nani wins when only having to play 4 matches that's just a broken system

I've always been a big fan of Leenock and people thinking he is just getting lucky... Have you not been seeing him this season in GSL? Making it out of some of the hardest groups. The kid has improved so much! He has the possibility to win this GSL imo.

And yet most European pros still do not attend on a regular basis.

if leenock can be a golden mouse winner (or the sc2 equivalent of that) that would make him a friggin legend

Ugh... so much gross zerg bias. If MVP won you wouldn't hear a cheer that loud and chants for his name, and he's so accomplished and deserves it. Leenock is an -amazing- player, don't get me wrong but it's kind of disgusting. Those cheers will never happen for Terran. (I'm a random player, don't bash me )

absolutely TRUE.
very, very true.

the community is heavily in favor of Z or P and the fact that no casters at all play terran has to do with it.
for example, if you just listen to artosis it makes it always sound hard from the Z/P perspective.
i attended 2 live events and the cheers for terrans are never as strong as the ones for zerg/protoss

.. Or perhaps that people like to see the 2 other races / other players win great games for a change? come on, off with the tin foil hat

Artosis has been saying it for the longest time. He hasn't made his full splash yet since he's so young, but he's had the sickest, sickest ZvT since like forever.

Clide v Leenock GSL Season 3 was one of the sickest series ever from the older GSLs.

He's always been a baller, just really unlucky when it comes to group placement.

Oh yeah that game! Memories :D

Depends on whether DRG makes it high enough in this GSL to retain his Code S spot or not, probably...

If DRG wins his Code S spot, he'll probably just forfeit his Code A match.

Leenock will have to face both DRG and Naniwa if he wants to win. One in the lower bracket, one in the upper bracket. no escaping it; the only difference for him is which order the games are played.

Eh, if I were in that position I'd probably DQ, must be pretty tiring after 3 straight days of high-lebel play.

You do realize that Idra has barely played any games this weekend right??

EDIT: On second thought...that post may be sarcasm..lol

I've been a huge Leenock fan for a long time and I'm really happy to see him doing so well at MLG. To me, he's the Zerg star right now. NesTea seems to be on the decline (not just with this tourny but his recent GSL performance as well) and DRG was too overhyped.

Leenock never gets the hype he deserves, but I think that will change now.

are you serious? REALLY? since Mr. Bitter wasn't. -.-

nah, mr.bitter has mentioned several times that he thinks leenock is an unknown. of course, we know that leenock has been a regular in the GSL and recently considered to be one of the best Z, but it's not the end of the world that bitter doesn't.

I just thought Mr. Bitter was way way way over-hyping leenock to create a story, but if he actually doesn't know who Leenock is ....

... I'd never considered that. He has to.

I think that IdrA only played three Bo3s the whole weekend... lost 2-0 to MC and Leenock, but 2-1'd Puma.

Sorry for my stupidity but could anyone explain to me what DQ means? Is it like surrender?

Don't know why the hell people are bringing stamina into this discussion...Koreans practice so much everyday...stamina is not a problem for them (along with foreign players who practice for long hours every day)

To make it relatable:

There's a difference between going to class for 8 hours a day and making exams for 8 hours a day. One is perfectly possible, one is mentally exhausting.

You can only maintain your concentration for so long, which is what makes the open bracket such a challenge.

One of the best analogy's I have ever read on this website. Now perhaps they understand...

He has been an alarming dot on the radar ever since GSL Open Season 3.

Also, he rarely plays in the team league because he's so young (16 Korean age is 15 in the west), or at least he didn't for a while.
