Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

MVP's play is -complete- shit. A pity they had him play immediately after an extended series against MC.

+1, this isnt MVP. Nothing to see here folks. MVP still has the GSL wins... what does leenock have? Oh yah this win. Whatever

In case you haven't been watching (which, I will assume you haven't) Leenock has knocked out a lot of notable players and in great fashion as well.

So, while MVP might be having a bad few days. Leenock is showing his potential.

-1 get out sir. i have watched leenock play and havent been impressed. i was only happy about his win vs IdrA.

Unless you were watching from somewhere else.

If you could, please point out which games you weren't keen on from this weekend. Leenock has had one of the toughest paths and he won most in convincing fashion.

If you haven't noticed I've been posting consistently in the MLG LR threads the whole time. You on the other hand, I don't recall so much. So thanks but I think I'll stay.

Why are you guys surprised Mr. Bitter doesn't know about the leenockopus? He doesn't follow the korean scene at all! He only knows about the euro scene since he works there.

You should at least know about the top players in the world. Of which Leenock is one of them. Even if you haven't seen him play you should at least be able to talk about his reputation (dude is Code S Top 8). It's the job of the caster.

Try Quality -> P2P. Hasn't lagged yet for me. Not as pretty as Ultra (seems equal to Medium) but it's better than nothing.

Eh, if I were in that position I'd probably DQ, must be pretty tiring after 3 straight days of high-lebel play.

You do realize that Idra has barely played any games this weekend right??

Don't know why the hell people are bringing stamina into this discussion...Koreans practice so much everyday...stamina is not a problem for them (along with foreign players who practice for long hours every day)

To make it relatable:

There's a difference between going to class for 8 hours a day and making exams for 8 hours a day. One is perfectly possible, one is mentally exhausting.

You can only maintain your concentration for so long, which is what makes the open bracket such a challenge.

Ugh... so much gross zerg bias. If MVP won you wouldn't hear a cheer that loud and chants for his name, and he's so accomplished and deserves it. Leenock is an -amazing- player, don't get me wrong but it's kind of disgusting. Those cheers will never happen for Terran. (I'm a random player, don't bash me )

absolutely TRUE.
very, very true.

the community is heavily in favor of Z or P and the fact that no casters at all play terran has to do with it.
for example, if you just listen to artosis it makes it always sound hard from the Z/P perspective.
i attended 2 live events and the cheers for terrans are never as strong as the ones for zerg/protoss

No one wants to cheer for the perceived OP race which is understandable but pretty sad for terran players

"Watched a single game. Decided someone who has won 3 GSLs and $216,000 USD's play is complete shit."

I think I misworded that. What I meant to say is that his play that series was garbage due to fatigue accumulated throughout the day, and especially because he didn't receive enough time to recollect himself after playing MC. Anyone who's had to play at a LAN a whole day knows what I'm talking about.

Not to take anything away from Leenock, especially loved his decision-making first map - he was way behind so he went for an "all-or-nothing" rush to T3. Didn't ever imagine that MVP would see the Muta count remaining so low for a lot of time and not suspect anything, but... oh well.

man why do casters act as if T were winning everything? Or as if it was the 1st time T didn't place well on a good tournament?

Not bashing them, its just spreading the balance whine that overall is only true at GSL.

one can't play T without Z or P bashing you because apparently we are all playing at GSL

Terran has been in the top 4 forever though. Oh check it MVP top four

The same cannot be said for either of the two races. Just to be fair and put some perspective into what they mean when they say P and Z players are happy that T is out of tourney. It means we can see ZvZ or PvZ and not TvX

Then they still meet in the LB finals. If leenock is to win he has to win a ZvZ extended series vs. DRG.

Why was MVP vs MC a best of 7 and this a best of 3? The system confuses me.

Ok now the following will happen DRG fast 2:0 Naniwa, then Leenock fast 2:0 Nani and Leenock will start 0:2 against DRG in ZvZ which will end 2:0 for DRG in 10 Minutes . The breaks will be longer then the actual games. Pure ingame time will be ~1 Hour all 3 Series combined.

I think that IdrA only played three Bo3s the whole weekend... lost 2-0 to MC and Leenock, but 2-1'd Puma.

Sorry for my stupidity but could anyone explain to me what DQ means? Is it like surrender?
