Man I really had hopes for huk this year, oh well. I know he'll be the first foreigner to snag a GSL title, only question is when.

I don't understand some people who are sad about Killer (especially over Oz)
Killer has always been, and still is a bad protoss. He was lucky to have had all his TvPs on calm before the storm so he was able to show a pair of good games that he ended winning, but he's still Killer, the second worst pro after Tester/Fruitdealer.

It's great for everyone that Oz is the one winning. Oz could win his PvT before the patches. Oz can win his PvT on other maps than calm. Oz can even win his other matchups ! 3 things Killer can not even dream of.

Suddenly, Killer won 2 games on 2 hyper protoss favored maps and he goes from "this terrible protoss" to a protoss hero that Fionn put his on his power rank, wtf.

Maybe because he was the only protoss advancing last season, by beating Polt who had a perfecet TvP record before him?

Only to more or less be a freewin to Coca in Ro16 who proceeded to be one for his Ro8 opponent . Those two series were the most lopsided series of last season by far . Killer was never THAT good.

Did you expect him to win, honestly? Coca's zvp is unbeatable. I never said Killer was the best player in the world, but i think if u can 2:0 Polt as protoss u cant be bad.

Nobody is talking about the strong rise of FXOpen.
Last season they only had 2 players in Code S (in GSL July they had none), now already 2 in Ro8 and the chances of Gumiho are huge after Coca dropping out.
(would be even more huge if they would have kept sC)

That's because the overarching theme for the past month has been Slayers vs IM, and their near monopoly of top players. Last GSL 6 of the players in the RO8 were Slayers or IM, and all semifinalists were Slayers/IM. Going into GSL November, Slayers had 7 players in Code S.

FXO is looking stronger, but while Leenock, Oz (possibly Gumiho), making to the Ro8 is very impressive, most people are too focused on other players and do not see them as favorites. Instead, everyone focusing on MVP, and how Nestea is in Code A for the first time...ever!

Just watched the VoDs from the first group, and those HuK games were super weird.. I feel like Nestea and Leenock should have both rolled over him. Nestea just really fell apart, not much else to say. I feel like Leenock should have been trying to get more probe kills with his mutas, because he was poking in and out for so long, but not really gaining much from it while HuK had 3rd fully secured and mining. Those storms on the banelings really was the turning point of the game, and I think HuK should have won from there. The last battle that killed him, he should have just attacked Leenock's army instead of trying to snipe that last base. If he had gotten feedbacks on all the infestors then he could have just blink microed to victory.

MMA played well as expected, and Leenock pulled through in the end. Wishing best of luck for HuK and Nestea in Code A though!

It wasn't Killer that won those games: it was Polt that lost them.

Polt played abysmally, forgetting to scout etc. Any decent NA GM could have beaten Polt in that series. He had an off-day, and Killer took advantage of that. Killer's only truly inspiring games so far have been this GSL in the Ro32, and they were against Virus and Jjakji, both middle-of-the-road Terrans. Killer is a solid player, but people have overrated him recently.

Lmfao at NesTea. I had great pleasure listening to Artosis sounding so sour over that pitiful performance. His bias is so damn annoying and I'm glad I unmuted the cast for today!

Yeah maybe GOMTv asked Polt to let Killer win since he was the last protoss o/.
jk jk, but Polt played terribly, Killer is still a bad protoss
edit : I'm happy that Leenock went through, a bit surprised at NesTea loss (even if it was controversial), and I'm glad that MMA still have good TvZ and that his loss to Lucky was probably an off day (he even dropped a map to Sheth, not saying that Sheth is bad but top 3 tvz losing to a foreign zerg who isn't Stephano...)

edit : well, my post look like mindless bashing, but mostly want I don't understand is the sudden hype for Killer that seems to me really blind to the circumstances. (yes he beat Polt and won some games in the group, but mostly due to good maps and/or opponents playing terribly -Polt-) He doesn't deserve the bashing of my post, my post was mostly directed to the sudden hype around him. Like in 2 weeks he's a new man and people forgot how he was considered...well, 2 weeks ago.

It just sounds like you're an Oz fan and you're mad he's not getting enough attention. BTW MMA will crush him :> People like Killer because he's a nice guy, always smiling and joking. He has good PvT and code S is terran heavy.

Mr.con is pretty much on the money. Killer has always made the wierdest decisions or done the oddest things. He apparently plays 1 day brilliantly and suddenly people think (combined with overhype about hte patch) that he'll do something. Then he plays on maps designed to keep toss in the gsl and does adequately.

Bizarre day.

Another day, another huge display of unprofessionalism from Tastosis, showcasing sadness and bias commentary towards NesTea. I mean, they look completely devastated when NesTea lost. I understand the dissapointment with his play, but as a major figure in the SC2 scene, arguably the best casting duo in the world, you just can't show it. This is purely unprofessional -.-

Nestea is the best zerg in the world, nobody is denying that. But Artosis DOES have extreme bias towards Nestea which makes his usually spectacular casting less than pleasurable. As a caster, he should have no bias whatsoever, unless it's in a joking manner (as in the case of Clide). Bias just makes the casting obnoxious and doesn't give credit to the other player when it's due. Tastosis is still the best caster in the world

How the fuck did that scrub Leenock progress? Huk and Nestea played atrociously. Terrible games.
