Man that was disappointing, been reading all the hype about Sase and his amazing control and whatnot and then he loses in the first round :/. Guess foreigners need to be placed directly into Code S finals before they take GSL seriously and practice hard and properly.

How is that relevant?

I was under the impression progamers (of all games) had most of their nerve issues solved if they were famous enough to be known?

Not even close the truth!

Counterexample?

Naniwa,I guess.

elaborate please?

Naniwa said himself he has huge nerve issues sometimes and he was a former wc3 pro.

yeah pretty interesting considering one of those were supposed to be clear roflstomps and day 1 of Code A had way more 2-1 with a lot of matches with heavy favorites

you watched BW, do I really have to?
I remember first TV game chokes and finals chokes; not usually qualifier chokes? Note that I said 'most nerve issues'. Perhaps the poster before me is correct in saying that sase isn't comfortable in this environment.

Though he was pretty much screwed because of the choke anyway.

JYP is one of the better Koreans, so not too bad losing to him. Think Naniwa has a good chance of advancing, though it seems like foreigners never play up to standard vs Koreans.

Or maybe Koreans usually play better than foreigners, and foreigners keep using excuses instead of getting better.

Only Huk and Idra can hang with Koreans these days and the results prove it.

Well, couldn't pick between both of them, but seeing the comments here, at least the better player got ahead. Hope this means more success for protoss in the coming weeks.

This ^

Compared to the games Sase plays while streaming it just looks terrible. Stage nerves?

It isn`t just GSL, he doesn`t do well in LANs either(getting knocked out by MKP easily in 2 separate lans). Ladder isn`t the same level.

One of those lans was in the finals, and he did really well at MLG Orlando. While i don't think think his overall LAN results reflect his skill, there's something about GSL where he seems to play extremely poorly compared to how he can actually play.

What a cop out excuse. He WAS taking GSL seriously enough to skip MLG and by many accounts he is known for practicing a shit ton.

Well it would not be too surprising if Naniwa loses. It seems to be the trend where all foreigners lose when they play on the same day. At least we will see Idra and Demuslim in the up/down matches later.

I think SaSe really needs a big volume of games to get on a roll. If you recall MLG he was a couple of 1/1/1 allins short of 5-0 in his pool after rolling through the open bracket. He took out Bomber in sick macro games, but I guess by that point in the tournament he was warmed up?

Hi my fans
I,m very sad about recent games
I know that you are worried about my bad conditon
It was caused by tight travel schedule(MLG Raleigh,Redbull Lan party,MLG Orlando,Sweden BenQ event)
I don,t have time to practice GSL Code S,and always in bad condition
i know that i have to practice in korea instead travel
but MLG Orlando.. i promised to MLG fans that i would go MLG Orlaando so i have to go
and Redbull Lan party..i went there to contract with redbull
I’m just telling for the first time this,Red Bull is my sponsor(not team, just about me)
and BenQ event..i just want to practice at ST house but i don,t have option
so i had just 1 day to practice GSL Code S always
and i have jet lag too,it made me terrible conditon
so I`ll not participate any tournament untill December 31 expect MLG providence
I think it`ll be my last tournament in this year
I am pretty sure that i`ll comeback soon if i have little time to practice
I'm sorry to have troubled you
I'm not gonna let you down any more^^
See you at MLG!! bye

ps: don,t worry about nervous problem, i don,t have nervous problem at all
