I hope so. If they can't manage to make this format work with bo3 groups in the ro16 at least, then they should just revert. I think the ro8 is bo3 as well -_-...

leenock is a very smart young player. he has insane mechanics and has had enough time to patch his pvz
leenock will steam through nestea, huk, and mma easily. wait and see

You need to quit sippin' the kool-aid.

anyone who has watched huk's stream when he's laddering knows that he throws games away trying out different options. I saw him get solidly ahead of a terran then tech switch into carriers. suprise suprise, he lost. comment at the end of it "omfg carriers are a joke"
winning on ladder isn't important. huk could have easily beaten that guy by playing his standard game, but how does that help huk improve? how does that help him explore the possibilities of his race?

So I checked the groups for the next round and wow... HuK would've been better off taking 2nd in his group. His group for the next round is staaaacked.

he also needs to realize the korean ladder is way way way harder then EU/NA. Idra back in beta when he was considered top 5 in the world had like a 52% on the korean ladder or something lol, sen (i'm in his division is how I know) has barely 50% win rate on the ladder to. And anyone who says sen is bad is well stupid :D

Everyone says this, but it really isn't that bad. He has to beat Leenock (appalling ZvP) and then, assuming MMA beats Nestea, MMA, who has decent but not excellent TvP. The only real challenge at all is MMA.

I'm pretty pumped to see ForGG vs Sage in Code A Ro48. ForGG's first challenge will be one of the stronger Protoss players so it's his chance to prove himself.

That's the problem. A group does not become easy just because a certain set of results is plausible.

It's not so much that it's plausible as it is probable.
HuK is heavily favoured to beat Leenock. MMA is heavily favoured to beat Nestea. HuK and MMA seem pretty evenly matched.
So a very rough approximation would be that, assuming the first two matches don't have upsets, Huk has a 50/50 chance of getting out of this group. Not bad, especially considering the alternatives.
