This is going to be the most interesting GSL in months. With this new gsl format, only the best terrans will be able to consistently compete.

NOOOOO CLIIIIIIIDDDEEEE!!!!! Ahh well can't really complain about Huk and Puzzle advancing, good that protoss are back up to scary mode. I liquibetted Jjakji and Supernova but was hoping Sangho would advance so that was a nice surprise go Huk and Killer! Protoss must win this season!

Love the format changes. I know people always say tourneys are "star-driven" but as a long-time watcher it's nice to see new blood.

He's 2-0 over MMA at the moment so I'm sure that will give him a mental edge, despite the fact that those games were very mind-gamey. He's also dying to beat NesTea so that he can say his game at that pre-finals show a few seasons back wasn't just him winning because NesTea wasn't trying. And as for LosirA...LosirA isn't even in that group, it's Leenock. Don't know how good Leenock's ZvP is, but honestly, I think Huk does have a chance. He just needs to refine his PvZ a little, or come up with some really good timing attacks to catch the zergs off-guard, and he'll make it.

I think PvZ is HuK's worst match up right now. it's also Leenock's worst though. i agree huk's best shot, especially with nestea, is to exploit some sort of timing in their builds, coz i dont think he has the time to refine his pvz to the point where he'll have a realistic shot against nestea. If im not wrong his win against nestea was using a two based timing push right?

Someone should tell Tastosis that Fin is fOrGG , sounded like they didn't know that. Also very happy to see protoss owning their groups, especially the final group.

Huk is listed as 57% at PvZ, while Leenock is listed at 40% ZvP. Based solely on that, Huk should be able to take it.

Then again, we don't even know if they will meet, since you usually only play two of the three people in your group.

I think HUK's stats include a lot of foreign events and Leenock is known to have faced a lot of top tier players (this kid is so unlucky it hurts). I wouldn't say those numbers are very significant.

those stats dont really reflect an accurate picture of how his pvz is lately. small sample size, plus it takes games all the way from february . TLPD also says Huk's PvP is 42% but most of us know he's currently one of the best vPers in the world.

idk i just dont find huk too good.
I mean Clide is bad and good sometimes, Puzzle is w/e, but it was all b01, so you cant really say huk is better than those two.
And im not impressed by huk's 50% winrate on ladder..

his 'win' was in an all star match where all the Koreans only card about having fun. the only people who truly tried hard was Jinro and HuK.

I'm really excited to see Killer and Puzzle advancing (not that I don't like HuK). If only Supernova could have made it through as well.

I think it's only for this season. They have to leave some time for the Blizzard cup. I think that will be the last tourney of the year.
