^_^ Greg should be last invite for winning IEM China

Idra has already won an IEM so he doesn't need to attend Kiev. He will be at the world championships

Correct! See you there!

is it gonna be streamed? can't see it on the calendar :$
|
No games are not being streamed until the championship bracket which will be streamed by Mrbitter and Rotterdam at ESL TV if the scheduling works out.

Gratz EG, your whole team made it lol

so the 28th is the championship brackets to find out the 2 that qualify? is it all done in one day right?

OP says 22-24th... not sure.
|
yea date had to be pushed to 28th-29th because ESL TV's MrBitter and Rotterdam wanted to cast it and thats the only day that worked for them
|
|
2 EG teamkills, to be expected.
|
Are the games on the 28th - 29th going to be at 8PM EDT as well?
|
FXO.QXC will replace mTw.TT1 because TT1 will be traveling on the date of the tournament.
Tune in this monday night starting at 8:00 pm EST for the first rounds of action of the IEM Kiev Qualifiers casted by MrBitter and Rotterdam!
|
I'm excited for this, I love making it through these tournaments so I can play pro players, hopefully I'll provide a good show. Never give up, never surrender!
|
|
bo3 for every round except Winner Finals and Loser Finals is bo5
|
well the 2 EG teamkills right at the beginning sucks but i still hope they'll make it
|
How come Team Liquid players are never invited to the IEM qualifiers like Sheth for example?
|
They are, its just the timing never works out. I spoke to Sheth several times, but Dreamhack just got in the way so he couldn't make it, he wanted to play though.
|
Brackets are rigged.... Incontrol should play Machine......
jk With the amount of EG players its safe to assume that they will get the 2 slots ;P
|
Killer is a shoe-in, Attero/DDE/QXC for 2nd slot imo

I'm guessing Ddoro and Attero take this.

The macro is pretty weak by these guys after watching top level pros the past couple weekends. Like Strife's mass infested terran play though.

Is this played all the way out tonight? or just the first few rounds?

I hate Stargate play so bad.

I'm curious why more of the America's top talent didn't come out for this, or even try to qualify. At this point it would probably be best if we got qxc and DDE going to Kiev, but it could have been better.
Imagine if, instead of the no name players or the lower EG's (Inc, LZ, Machine), we had players like Sheth, Kiwikaki, Slush, Major, Gatored, Chance, Illusion, Hawk, Vibe or even Tyler.
I don't mean to come off as a hater, but the Americas could be much better represented in Kiev and I find it as kind of a shame.

qxc vs dde looks like it could be a good match. I think they will probably rematch in the finals. the loser should be able to get through the loser bracket

I have updated the schedule, we will be getting started at 7:00 pm EST today!

Haha Naniwa wtf--
I think final will be between DDE and KilleR

It is in the event scheduler - 2.5 hours.
I am going to cast with Dennis "TaKe" Gehlen on Thursday - the 2nd round of the European qualifier for Kiev. Don't expect me to do more of it - I'm not built for commentary.

Why is this thread set up so poorly? No bracket in the OP, no results in the OP.
All tournament forum threads should be required to have both, and updated as well.

There is bracket in the OP, its green and underlined
GoSu.DDE and Dignitas.KiLLeR will be the representative at IEM Kiev!!

what was that song that played just now? i missed it when he announced it

Congratulations to DDE and KiLLeR

This is a shame. An organization like IEM should be able to send out invitations (or at least information for each qualification) to each team for its major events.
Teams like EG (who was obviously informed some how), Gosu, vVv, Liquid, RGN, CheckSix, VP and Vile should always be informed when there are major events that their players could be qualified for.
|
This event has been on tournament tracker all month long as well as this thread has been up all month long o.O A little weird that you don't hear about this tournament.
There will be IEM Sao Paulo qualifications coming up in January, but I only have close contacts to management of EG, Gosu, and RGN. Liquid is easy to contact for obvious reasons, but I don't have any contacts to vVv, checksix, VP or vile management to let them know to send their players. So if any of those mentioned teams management is seeing this, please send me some contact information and any IEM qualifiers we have you will know about it.
|
I also forgot about Fnatic. KawaiiRice would've been a good candidate here, or Rain, I believe he can participate if he lives in the US at the time.
|
you gotta be citizen of canada or US or one of the country from South america lol
|
VoDs have been updated to the OP. Check them out!

Ehh, nice, Kiev. I always wanted to attend some SC2 event, but I don't know any of those players

A ton of Europe's top players are trying to qualify, actually. So I am sure you will know the players that show up.

I think they let Demuslim qualify from an American qualifier for one of the other tournaments. May be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was an IEM tourney.
|
You just have to be living in the country at the time of the qualification. Thats how Rain and Demu qualified as american, and people like Huk get invited as a korean invite.

Killer is indeed a beast
Congrats to both!
