Also Machine took a game off Hero at the most recent mlg so he could very well do it again, especially since its BO1. its bo3 Ah ok, so its different to the group stages then? Also i'm confused, Liquipedia article says Dignitas qualified not Empire and its Liquid vs Dignitas and EG vs Mouz. It also says the tournament was supposed to finish a month ago, I presume its all inaccurate?
It is inaccurate.
Sixjax's games were all turned into 0-3 losses due to them disbanding. Therefore Empire's loss vs them was removed, and they advanced to the playoff

Good job not feeding protosses to puma and giving a zerg to hero.
Looking forward to this.

Wait, why is there only 4 matches? Usually competitive play has 3,5,7 right?

Xeris, do you organize tournaments in your sleep?
When you're alone at a coffee shop and frankly a little bit bored, do you doodle radical new tournament formats on your napkin?
When you're taking a shower and the water is too warm and the air is too cold for you to finish in a reasonable amount of time, do you find yourself thinking of seeds and brackets?
Do you feverishly work out tournament after tournament on your laptop, tossing the laptop in the garbage bin and starting anew with another word document on another laptop until you're finally satisfied, filling bins upon bins with laptops tainted by your imperfect attempts?
Is your ultimate goal to one day, after countless ambitious iterations, achieve the Perfect Tournament Format? And do you dream that on that day, your haters will weep tears of contrition, and desrow will publicly apologize to you for ever doubting your tournament genius, and all of Teamliquid and /r/starcraft will cry out in simultaneous, global joy?

Puma > Sheth Demuslim > Ret Machine < Hero Huk > Haypro
I can possibly see Machine training up for this match and taking it like a boss. I can't see any other reason why EG would put out Machine instead of Puma against Hero other than Machine wanted revenge after his 2-1 defeat at MLG.
|
Hero vs Machine and Haypro vs Huk should be pretty onesided. Puma vs Sheth is also probably going to go to Puma and whether Liquid manages to take it to the ace match or not is going to rely on Ret's performance imo, Although I could see Sheth pulling out something
Gogogo liquid :D

He is not a terrible player but why not choose, say, IdrA who I think we all agree is clearly better? It might not be nearly as important to EG as you think, or IdrA might be busy with something else. Keep in mind this is the same EG who's players have been winning left and right (even beating Koreans).

Ret demolished DeMusliM in IPL and will demolish him here. He is the most underrated player in the world despite winning several large tournaments

PuMa > Sheth Demuslim > Ret Machine < HerO HuK > HayprO
EZ
Really dont understand why use Machine and not IdrA ( no disrespect to Machine hes pretty good )
|
Idra is not available to play at that certain date maybe?
PuMa > Sheth Demuslim ? Ret Machine < HerO HuK > Haypro
I also agree with another poster, Demuslim and Ret will decide whether or not they will go to a 5th game. gl hf

sometimes we cannot field the best lineup because of travels we are an extremely active team.
If you don't see
huk, puma, idra , demuslim as the 1v1 then it is for that reason.

Puma Demuslim Hero Huk
3-1 gogo eg
|
Machine > Hero HayprO > HuK
callin the upsets
|
Sheth v Puma and Demuslim v Ret will probably very close, I think thath Puma and Ret are probably favored by a little bit. Hero is favored over Machine, and Huk is favored over Haypro. In the ace, I think that Hero will defeat Huk.
|
Puma < Haypro Demuslim < Haypro Machine < Haypro Huk < Haypro
|
All these haters. Machines got this.
HWAIIIITING!

ohh some sick matches, i am most hyped for demuslim vs ret. i hope demuslim isnt distracted by his girlfriend too much in his practice and ret is in good shape too.. these matches will be epic <3
