I think he was trying to do a super fast 2 base 4gate pressure, adding sentries would mean he'd need to add extra gasses, thus delaying his push by that much more.
That being said, I'm not sold on that pressure really doing much damage in many situations I can think of

MC could have gone into the mid-game with a puncher's shot at least against MMA. MC just shot himself in the foot going all in with no hand.

I saw MMA on three base fine, I never said he wasn't. The 2 base versus 2 base was before MC made his choice for that all-in. Unless MMA gets to have three bases all game?!?

His initial b/o was inferior because it is impossible for a Protoss to scout in that situation - so he has to flip a coin and do a fast expo that will outright die to anything that isn't a 1rax CC, or go with a safer build that is guaranteed to be behind if MMA goes for a fast expand.
His 4gate pressure was a result of that, as he knew he is behind due to the initial BO's, and tried to catch up (you can say that was a bad decision, I won't disagree with it). As soon as his Zealots died, the game was essentially over, there's nothing else to talk about.
If he does anything but pumping units at that point, he WILL die, he also has very little hope of doing any damage to MMA. Chargelot / Archon is pretty much the only build he could go for there because Colossus would take far too long to tech up to and being behind on bases, + under constant risk of a heavy ghost push... Just no.
So yeah, he died because of the initial 4gate push, because as Protoss, you can't recover from something like that. All the crap about OMG MC WHY NO THIRD OMG WHY NO UPGRADE... Just get out.

Despite an overlord literally bumping into a medivac- yugioh misses a drop and decides to counter attack. He trades a few mutalisks for a few turrets and scvs.. he looks nervous but still holds a 20 supply lead.
