looking at sases bracket he has a good chance of going really deep.

Happy for boxer, especially after that picture. Sad for stephano, shame two fan favorites had to run into each other already.

No shame for Stephano though, he had an amazing run and anyone hating on him is a moron. Going all the way through the losers open bracket deep into championship bracket is extremely hard and confirms Stephano is a talented player.

Why Polt not on the main stage ? Seriously this guys does not get the credit he deserves. Look at his run, he is coming from the open lower bracket ? How many bo3 did he had to play ? Polt for the win.

If he gets past Haypro (going to be tough), then he SHOULD get mainstage against Puma. Except if MLG has a boner for Idra and put him on main stage vs. Sase/Boxer.

Haypro going to be tough? What...?

HayprO have only played TvZ and won 2-0 vs Drewbie and TLO and 2-1 vs Boxer. Yeah he is probably going to put up a fight

You know Polt can still lift up his CC to the gold.
XDDDDDDDDDDDDD
(but it's not to make fun of Haypro, he improved a lot he took out a lot of terrans, even Zenio lost to MKP lift to the gold)

why are people cheering for boxer? he will definitely go out of the tournament in the next round. stephano, as a non-korean, had the chance to go much further.

Boxer is the kind of person you have to respect. He's been doing this longer than any other player in StarCraft. He was the first Bonjwa. He is talented/funny and most importantly he is extremely hard working. He doesn't take his talent for granted like many people do (Stephano for instance) only practicing for 3-4 hours a day.

Don't forget how damn HANDSOME he is! BoxeR aging very well :D

I have a feeling that Boxer will take this whole tournament, just like Stu Ungar came back in -97 to win WSOP after 15 (?) years in obscurity. Remember to quote this post when Boxer wins the final.
"It is really good to get the double observatory if you want to get the speed and sight range for the observer simultaneously. It's a little bit of an advanced tactic, and by advanced, I mean really fucking bad."

Korean terrans seem to be his downfall: Alive, TheSTC, now Boxer

Didn't he beat TheSTC 3-1 at IPL3,

TheSTC take him out in the open bracket 2-0, put him down the losers bracket this event.
People already study his style, Korean caught off his style in IPL, but they learned it after 3 days and beat him now....

oh wait for it, let me guess boxer cheesed right?

go boxer

lol losing a good series vs boxer dosnt mean you're suddenly worse. i really hate this theme of a player getting hyped > performing well > loses in 1 tourny and suddenly everyone goes "hahah nubnub hypetrain crashes".

He went into the losers bracket pretty early and got pretty far, i'd say hes done just fine. 1 bo3 dosnt make or break a player lol. He's still an awesome young talent who perhaps have some abit extreme fanboys but all "new" superstars have those, look at early TLO.

But why did he get so overhyped? People should try to stay a bit more humble. If people did not go:
"Stephano is best zerg player in the world!!!"
"Stephano is the next bonjwa"
"Stephano, please crush the emperor, that cheesy noob"
etc.
Then no one would go "hahah nubnub hypetrain crashes".

Omg, did the hype train crash? What a horrible accident! Did anyone get hurt?

The Stephano fanboys, obviously. Did you really need that explained?

There is absolutely zero chance a measured opinion will be heard in a LR thread, but let's try.

I'm happy Boxer won. I cheered for Stephano, and I think he is an amazing player. His weak point (he said it himself) is a lack of endurance when he has to play too much game in a row. I really hope he will improve on this and be able to play to his full potential in the future.

In the meantime : Gogo Boxer, you deserved it and I'm proud to cheer for you !

And to all the Boxer/Stephano haters : show some respect, may it be for an old legend still able to deliver some mighty punches, or for a young and promising player that is unquestionnably very good.

If someone read this and agree, please say it, the whole level of hate and stupidity in this thread is killing me.

pointless win, boxer will get eliminated next match while stephano had the chance to beat a lot of upcoming top players

This logic fails, if Stephano can't even beat Boxer, whom you implied is inferior to a lot of the upcoming top players, what makes you think Stephano has a chance?

Have Stephano and Boxer play 10 Bo3 and I promise you Stephano will win the majority of them. Everyone can lose a Bo3 to a inferior player

By your logic, there shouldn't even be any tournaments period, because none of the players will have a chance at beating the best player (like MVP for example) in 10 Bo3s, so why play in the first place?

A tournament isn't always about the best player winning, there is always dedications, hardwork, and other situational factors occuring at that time. That is why upsets happens, that is why underdogs can win, that is the whole point of having a tournament int he first place
