Those guys really know how to push each others' buttons and there really (surprised?) weren't any standard games. Day 2 - Huk vs Hero had some pretty epic moments too, like, Huk had the opportunity to push a draw as they both only had a pylon left but instead, in true Huk fashion he went for it and we ended up having a (very few) stalker/zealot/sentry/probe micro battle, in which Hero ended up downing Huk's last pylon with ONE probe. What a fantastic weekend.

Then he still would have lost if they did not have extended series. MC just had to win 4 games instead of 2. I stand by my point that extended series is just wrong. No matter who it happens to. If Idra would have gone 2-0 up agains MC and then lost 4 strait games then thats wrong and idra should have won. what the hell are you guys even talking about? the rules made MC's job more difficult that time and he still beat idra. you're the 2nd guy who's saying idra should have won a series that he got 4-0'd in. that's what happens to your brain when you become an idra fan? ![]()

It's funny you should bring up football as an example because the UEFA Champions League uses a very similar two-legged tie for their tournament. (How could Boxer have knocked IdrA out 3-2 when he was down 3-0 anyway? If Boxer had won before game 7 he would have done so at an overall tie in games won at bet and an overall loosing record at worst.)

Conrgats anyhow Wow that post does not sound bitter at all, not withstanding that this is his 3 third major tournament win recently on top of his code S status he was always a top contender among the foreigners to take the win. It would be odd for those europeans to win seeing as they are not up to huks caliber except maybe naniwa and thorzain. Nice to see huk getting back into form though, when you are not on a different continent every week it can do wonders for your game xp. Also so happy to idra doing well, needs to be in top shape so he can take back that code S spot he gave up all those sessions ago in the GSL.

However that doesn't really apply to this as in the Champions league you play the team in the first leg, then you play them directly after you have already played them. As apposed to MLG's double elim.

That was fine. It was the fact that Idra decided to attack when he should have just turtled to 200/200 after MC refused to attack in his only window of opportunity. Idra basically gave him the game.

He only played 2 more games after getting code S (Grand Finals vs Huk). Lost the first one due to 4gate vs 4gate micro (Huk managed to squeeze in an extra unit somehow and also picked off one of MC's pylons, supply blocking him) and the second game was just a build order loss.. The beauty (sarcasm) of extended series guaranteed that the games ended there.
