I recomend everybody to watch the showmatch between DRG and fruitdealer vs Top and Killer at IEM NYC until next game starts, its really fun cause they are BM'ing each other.

I'd really wish Idra never introduced the concept of coinfliping in sc2. It makes zero sense, and now everybody who lacks game understanding abuse this term and talk about coinflip here, coinflip there.
Some very rare builds are coinflips, but far less than the term is abusively used left and right about stuff which aren't remotely coinflips.

Completely agree, a game is not only sucessful if it goes to lategame. Being able to hold midgame aggression is just as important as being able to play in the late game and both aspects should be enjoyed just as much

But this isn't about judgement, because we aren't discussing their playstyles, but about how they are perceived in the community and why.

When Flash cheesed Bisu out of a Starleague way back, he was "that f***ing cheeser kid". Now he's God Young Ho and he can cheese or suck for a year if he decides to.

I am a person who really does not enjoy that people are carried forward by the community based on old, old accomplishments (July, to some extent even The Emperor himself) or their teams (see some Liquid players). Oh well, I guess my attempts at trying to reduce the amount of bias are futile. T_T


Hero's play in that game was not good past the opening stages, and July had an upgrade advantage as well as playing a really good contain. He deserved that win. Puma is very un-proven and the fact that he uses a hated build will lead to alot of comments, but Puma has to be one of the most hyped-unproven people right now on the scene

Polt - 7th in Korean ELO, has been in Code S since the beginning, GSL CHAMPION ($100l,000 Super Tournament) and was in the semifinals LAST MONTH.

Puma - NASL champion ($50,000), IEM champion and has carried EG through countless team tournaments.

That just ruins your whole argument. If Polt is unproven, then 99.99997 of the scene not named MVP, Nestea, MC and FD are unproven.

He's in Code A, and got through one round before getting beat by Yugioh. Not all that terrible. And also, all you people calling out Tyler and Haypro as "hyped up" players makes no sense at all. They aren't that hyped up. People know them because they are on TL, but don't go into every game sayin "Tyler's got this! or Haypro's gonna dominate." They are well-known, not hyped. There is a difference.

GSTL vs Tails for example.


The game they are referring to is when he did it vs Huk 2 days after the interview(even though Huk should have held it off)

I'm not sure about this but i think Huk was asking MVP to 1 1 1 him before the match because he was confident that he could stop it.

MVP didn't even play Marine/Tank/Banshee in those games, he wanted to in the second but he got all-ined before that could happen.

Not every push with Tanks or Marines is 1-1-1

Forge FE on dual sight is bloody suicide anyway, especially with Hero's building placement. Was a good read and a good reaction, and hid his intentions well.
