I wonder if Elfi will use that phoenix + warprism build vs Fruitdealer. I also wonder whether we will see good play from fruit dealer today, it's so hard to tell how he's going to perform. Regardless it should be an interesting second day of matches ^-^.

Holy Protoss games, batman.

Can't wait to see who gets through.

Remember, Day1 saw

Killer + Killer
and
Gatored + DRG

advancing.

Z/P/P/Z

Up to Poke and Top to get some Terrans through to the playoffs.

Such a shame they only show 5 sets of the entire day of play. They should really take notes from MLG

7 sets, two of which are bo5s, is quite a lot of games.

You also have Edge vs Axslav twice XD

Sometimes Mr Bitter and Rotterdam choose different matches to cast on main stage depending of the importance of the match ( if someone needs to win a game to get top 2 in a group, compared to if the other game is 2 people going 0-2 or something).

I think when the next season starts Carmac will try to get intel and the other sponsors to put more money into IEM. If they don't they might get left behind compared to what MLG and other tournaments are putting out.

Are you serious!?
IEM is putting far more money than mlg they have a bigger price pool at their circuit events and at their grand finals. Please don't post bs like that if you don't even have an idea of what you're talking about.

I said when the next IEM season starts which is in 2012 when MLG plan to have $1.5 million for sc2

that's not official yet. And i believe this IEM season had 650 000 Euros It's not that far away from 1.5 Million dollars.

It'll be interesting to see how Fruitdealer fares against foreigners. After his past couple disappointing runs in the GSL, it'll be interesting to say the least. FD fighting!

After seeing the Koreans play yesterday, I'd give MaNa a good chance. Neither Killer nor DongRaeGu are unbeatable, Top is a tough call but MaNa is beastly in PvT and FruitDealer is FruitDealer.

If he makes it out of the group he may win the whole thing. Hopefully his PvP is up to par, TT1, Elfi, Killer and so are quite tough to play.

some awesome games coming up. Maybe some more upsets too. Day one was epic with Gatored getting through. Shame sjow and strelock failed tho... those Euro Terrans need to pick up there game, just when people are starting to admit that europe have some good players and are infront of NA. Then they go and fail. comon guys.. TT

Going to be really cheering for Mana and Elfi today!

There's more to events then prizemoney. Amount of content offered, quality of content offered, quality of the players (and indirectly the games), and much more undefinable factors such as 'hype'. MLG is getting better at all of these things while IEM seems to be stuck, or even getting worse.

(And there's a 600.000 USD difference between 650.000 euros and 1.5 million dollars. Personally, I think that's a lot. Not to mention that the actual prizemoney this season for SC2 from IEM is 200.000 euros, not 650.000.)
