Starcraft really needs league that can give better opportunities to these new faces. Stop giving invites to the same guys over and over again! to be fair all the supermegaelite koreans were still in gsl, and all the not quite supermegaelite koreans are at mlg. although it does seem like fruitdealer was basically just invited on name value alone and/or someone desperately wants DRG to qualify for the blizzard cup despite having done nothing to deserve playing in it could be worse, they could have invited moon

Stop giving invites to the same guys over and over again! Thats the good thing about IEM. No invites, completely open (at least for non-Koreans). Or TSL. Seriously, look at the TSL line-up, and see how a ton of the 'unknown' people who qualified are now some of the biggest stars in the scene. Qualification-only tournaments are always amazing, and no tournament does a better job of picking out the next up-and-coming stars than the TSL does.

By far. | ||

It's ridiculous how much the field of players have opened up since TSL3. Having qualification tournaments is really great for the scene and for up-and-coming players.
