Stephano has the "It" factor. There is some switch in his brain that switches on razor sharp split second decision making and an almost supernatural calm and focus when he is playing.

You can see it on the screen during the game. And you can see it when you look at him playing in the booth.

As the pressure went up? And the matches were more high stakes?

He just dialed it in harder. The decisions were more split second, more on point, more devastating.

And he was totally unshakable by the situation, the crowd, the lights, the hype ... nothing shook that focus when it counted.

I am telling you this kid is the real deal man.

He's got the genetic skills to go through Code S like a hot knife thru buttah.

I'm going to rofl when he gets stomped trying to get through Code A.

Was good games. STC adapted really well in game 3 and won.

game 4 he made such a dumb mistake by not blocking his ramp when he knew the roaches were coming.

He could have won that series. Great games by both.

In short:

EU has figured it out for quite a while and is pretty proud to have birthed another international competitive beast.

Meanwhile, KR is like "get those replays we gotta have to retro-engineer this shiznit AFAP. This kid shall not pass!!".

And no, I doubt the Koreans are worried about Stephano. They probably see him as another foreigner who comes to Korea expecting to make it big yet get eliminated in the first round of Code A. Maybe he'll prove them wrong, who knows?

Those with a clue will respect him and have been respecting him for some time now. Then there are always a bunch of ignorant ones to anything not going down on their home turf. Much like we've seen on TL for some weeks now.

Vul,

about training in korea, sure, they get better, but forcing yourself to do the right things for a while by going to korea is a temporary quick fix that won't last forever, and the reason you get better isn't because you're in korea, but because you're spending your time differently than before. never seen it proven, but I have a pretty strong feeling that foreigners don't have the same level of dedication as koreans.

There's always the possibility he just had good momentum. And maybe he won't win MLG, but he'll definately get top 8 i think.

MLG Orlando has even stronger Koreans than before and more Koreans as well. Also players like Polt and Marineking are in the open bracket. To place in top 8 at Orlando basically means he needs to be the best ranked foreigner and it is very difficult, not to mention that he has to go through open bracket first. However, I do personally believe that he 's the top2 best foreigner at the moment.

We'll see. I think he can do it, I don't see Thorzain as being better than Stephano and Idra isn't right now. Should be a fun turnament

The final is basically just Stephano showing total control over the games in several different situations, Lucky wasn't necessarily making mistakes but he just got outplayed in every sense.

Not that thrilling since it was so one-sided, but if can still be worth watching if you want to pick up on Stephano's ZvZ decision making which was on the spot, each time.

Ro8 games weren't that incredible, still some good games. Inori vs Stephano was interesting since Stephano had to play catch-up after loosing the first game, pretty tense.
MMA vs Puma was nice too, some sick TvT micro moves from MMA.

Those with a clue? You mean MC back when he was winning two GSL Code S Championships, who said Thorzain was the only opponent he was worried about at MLG? What about the hottest Zerg on the block, DongRaeGu, who said he never felt so much pressure from anyone when he inched a victory in Dreamhack over the same player? For months, people kept crying out "send Thorzain to Korea!" "Thorzain is the best foreigner, imagine him in Korea! He'll grow even faster than Huk!" Then over the summer we hear that it's not only Thorzain going, but Naniwa as well? Oh shit, breaking news, SaSe making it three Swedes? Pretty much the best Europe had to offer at the time flew to Korea with the weight of the foreign scene on their shoulders. And what happened then? Looks to me like you guys got tired and are looking for someone else to spearhead your Foreigner-revolution that will take Korea by storm!

Now you have this kid. This seemingly loveable French prodigy. He wins ONE foreign tournament - and people are suddenly claiming he's top Code S quality? Either you guys are sadistic and you love to see the players you support get taught a lesson by the Korean Gods, or you guys seriously don't see the difference in level of play between EU/KR.
