To be fair, well played IGN, when I turned in I assumed following this girl around would be horribly awkward to watch but she's actually quite entertaining and a thousand times better of a filler compared to the adverts.

Has this been changing lately?

America's a big place and it's very expensive to put down top of the line cable just for internet like South Korea does. I can't speak for everyone, but no matter where I've lived, I've never not had an outage at least once a month or having the ISP secretly throttle my bandwidth.

Size doesn't really matter. Population density is what matters. Sweden has a much lower population density than the USA and some of the best internet in the world. You can only blame Internet quality in the US on policy.

Fix ETA is "Soon" - Comcast is in the building.

which means they will find the problem, figure out the tool they need to fix it they left behind. Has to wait for second van to come.

Then, he tries to convince you that you have direcTV and he shouldn't even be there. He leaves and comes back like 20 minutes later and says he can fix it but has to charge you for the time it took it for him to leave and come back.

Hey look, an organization that thought to hire a girl who knew something about the subject she's presenting.

Too bad refreshing the stream isn't bringing my 3 minutes back, but it was a refreshing to see an organization that doesn't hire total incompetents but tries to find people who are a bit more competent than 'is pretty? check!'

Well, this isn't time filler per se because these extra streams run the whole day while the games are going on.

Stream 5 has lani work from 11am-5pm and megumixbear from 5pm-close
Stream 6 has allyn and sumichu

That would make sense...(actually internet in Silicon Valley is awesome, was able to download 4GB game in 10 mins).

But generally speaking internet and cell service in North America is crap and overpriced compared to must European nations and Japan/Korea.
Yes, thanks. For the other responses too. Makes sense that there's just a huge variation between some of the centers and the rest of the country.
(edit: good example that generalizations about NA are often imprecise due to the variety and sizes)

If the tournament can be played via LAN but the building doesn't have connection to the internet then how would we watch it? Wouldn't we have to watch it delayed just like we are now?

Also... if the building's internet is down how is the Prime channel streaming?

Agreed. LAN won't fix the problem if the network in the hotel is down. Not having LAN sucks but this is certainly not a good example to use to support LAN lol.
