As much as I love MC, I completely agree. Strelok played so sloppily and didn't take advantage when he could. Biggest mistake was picking up his units and getting more than half his filled medivacs killed when he could have just stayed and done damage.

Strelok not knowing how to harrass early game it seems. Second game in a row he's playing too passively. He needs to check out Select's games.

Arent' the pools just for seeding? I don't think anyone gets knocked out from their pool placement, so they're all guaranteed $1k.

Exactly. Good player but this was a game that did not say "2 time GSL code S winner" it more said "code-a" protoss player beating someone who just handed them a game on a platter.

1st place gets extra 1k second gets 500.

They changed it so that 1st place in pools gets and extra $1000 and 2nd gets $500 so now these games matter a bit more.

There's an additional 1k for the winner of the pool and $500 for the second place in the pool. Separate from the announced prize pool.

These aren't for seeding... and they're not guaranteed money.
Winner of each bracket gets $1000, second place gets $500.
And MC is guaranteed to place first, regardless of how this game (and, if necessary, a third game vs. Strelok) plays out. He wins $1000 already.
