That picture was obviously taken before the matches started or possibly much earlier in the day since you can see that the lights are on in that picture and right now the place is pitch black and has been for hours. Who knows how many people are there, but IGN is doing a wonderful job in their production. This tournament is being better run than the ones that have been doing it for years (MLG). - No long downtime in-between matches. - Good casters - Great players - Great stream quality for FREE Notice how short my post is, i said nothing about the tournament quality its absolutely fantastic, im surprised you tried to squeeze so much about what ithink of the tournament fromm a few words about the the number of people. Regardless if that image was a few hours ago it still sounds like there is about 30-40 ppl in there. I completely agree with you about all the points you made about how the tournament is being run. The only thing i said was that i didnt beleive their where multiple hundreds of ppl there right now. Do you?

He has played with the best people in the US for a good 7-8 months or even more. Sure he has been casting etc. And yes his gaming has taken a beating form that but it has not improven AT ALL while playing now for 3-4 months without being a caster. He sure is trying, and that is good, but its clearly not enough and he needs to wake up.

He got that placing at the MLG before Koreans started showing up, in tourneys with actual competition he has done pathetic. And why are people surprised at how little people are in the crowd? It's 3pm on a thursday...

Especially one at a casino so that takes away a lot of the potential crowd that might attend at this time. Expect to see pretty good turnouts once you get to the evenings and the weekends. I don't see many people taking making it a 4 day weekend for an SC2 tournament, but certainly plenty will make their way there for the Friday-Sunday once off work.

Don't people who are in the groups already win 1k? Then if they make 1st they get another 1k...I'm pretty sure you'd take that if you had the skills to compete at that level.
