But, it gets the job done.

The point is: If all players in the entire world were able to play on ONE SERVER without big latency problems, and all players would practice for one year in equal conditions (food, time, sleep etc) I could name only about 4-5 foreigners able to be on the same lvl as MVP or Nestea. Those are Grubby, Huk, MaNa, Major, maybe IdrA and Nerchio too, but don't know about their mental stability :/ And there is Stephano... IMO He would be a step ahead from EVERYBODY. We are proud of Stephanos achievements as we (at least me) are proud of HuK or even IdrA! But IdrA was in Korea for veeeery long time in BW and Sc2. HuK just got from there. Both of them now have "EG Lair" with great sponsors and Puma + DemusliM to practice with, and of course a lot better connection to Korean server than EU has. Stephano had nothing of these. He just recently, about 2 months ago, decided to become full PRO. You understand now? We see the potential in him. The things he achieved in so little time with so limited resources! That's what makes him so special. Oh come on... this is exactly the kind of ridiculous statements I'm talking about. GRUBBY would be on the same level as NesTea and MVP?!?!................. Really?? If all players were able to play on one big server with same latency, we'd have a top 100 dominated by at least 80% koreans, and a top 10 with at most 2 foreigners. And those would probably be Huk and maybe Nerchio, or someone like Kas, only because of the incredible amount of games they play, not because of real skill. And EVEN if there were a good amount of foreigners there it would mean next to nothing because most top pros don't ladder that much.

Wow MaNa is pretty good, I guess (wasn't really convinced previously) Grubby got pretty far, even taking off a game from MKP? GJ Stephano! <3 Haha I love how idra loses to some random zerg? But I don't think ZvZ has ever been his strong point. ZvZ is like the opposite (as with all mirror matchups) of the other matchups, like the opposite of defending, reacting, droning, defending harass, etc., xD Haha nice photo, those stands with the 1st 2nd 3rd place must be really awesome to stand on the highest but shameful to be on the low ![]() Oh yeah does this mean MaNa gets to go to Blizz Cup? i don't remember if they give a seed to #1 ESCW 2011

His progression and skill shown has suggested nothing about a similarly successful career in SC2. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy if it happened, but not every RTS is the same.

NaNiwa, ThorZain, and most other WC3 pros started playing SC2 right in the beta (or very early in release). The majority of them were mediocre for at least 8 or 9 months (NaNiwa was basically known as 1-baseiwa). It takes a long time to change your mindset from WC3 to SC2. Grubby started waaay later than the majority of WC3 pros. Give it another 4-6 months and he should be at the same level as all the other top EU pros. Especially since he is training in Korea.

Stephano deserves all the credit people give him imo, he won tought tournament with top koreans, it's not his fault nestea and mvp didn't enter IPL and ESWC! he is the real deal, a powerhouse young european player capable of winning games against GSL players. It was a good tournament and idra's result is not that bad, he lost against a player with lesser achievements but livezerg is a up and coming player that has some potencial
